Tucked away in Perak is a stunning waterfall that remains a well-kept secret ~ Lata Puteh Waterfall, nestled in the Bintang mountain range between Lenggong and Batu Kurau in Ulu Perak.
But the country is also blessed with natural wonders worth you should pull the breaks for. Air Terjun Sungai Tebing Tinggi on the outskirts of Lenggong is one of them.
When it comes to waterfalls, Perak slays. Thank its mountainous landscape for that. The Titiwangsa, Kledang and Bintang ranges are the source of countless watery fascinations; many pale in comparison to the magnifiscent Lata Puteh.
Another less known historic treasure is the remains of British Royal Air Force (RAF)’s Bristol Brigand serial number RH755, crashed in Bintang Hijau Forest Reserve.
Lata Puteh is an epic waterfall in Perak, just by the side of the A6 road in Batu Kurau. Lata Puteh used to be known as the 3rd tallest waterfall in South East Asia, but had the claim removed due to factual inaccuracy. Still, it is one of the most impressive waterfalls I have visited! The trail to reach the waterfall was short and steep.
Located at the upper levels of Sungai Ayer Hitam near the small town of Batu Kurau in Perak, Perangin Lalang Waterfall was meant to be our watery reward after an early morning hike up Gunung Semanggol. But time and inclement weather had other plans.
