When I saw pure matcha on the menu, I knew THIS WAS IT.. When they confirmed with me again, that it’s no sugar and no milk, I’m like yaaaaaas definitely what I wanted because I hate how most matcha drinks have milk in it. It’s quite bitter but because that’s what I expected, I was a-okay with it.
Since we're they we also try out their sarawak cuisines and beef hor fun which I personally rated around 5/10 stars because overall was average only.
Its has a good range of flavour with its spices and its wide aromatic tones a welcome change to the local fares. Good till the last morsel and drop of broth.
Coincidentally I was on the hunt for Sarawak Laksa for the past 2 weeks. My usual fix are at Charlie Cafe, Makan Time and Salted but none of these are near any LRT/MRT stations. Then I read on a FB group that the NZX (Niuzexui) area is being revitalised, or rather, more specifically the NX Food Court Centre. I saw postings about the Penang duck egg char kuey teow, Sarawak kueh chiap, kolo mee and the Sarawak Laksa. And comments were favourable too, so I hopped quickly to try it myself.
Have you tried Sarawak's foods before? Whats made you crave the most? Sarawak Laksa? Some of you may know what is Sarawak Laksa but not me. Haha! Because I'm from Ipoh, our laksa is sourish, greyish color with fish. It is similar to 'Asam Laksa' from Penang style. Yup, I'm totally confused! However, I am glad that I found this delicious stall serving 'Sarawak Laksa' near my house at Ara Damansara.
