I had an excellent experience at Ami Patisserie, and I highly recommend this space if you are a big pastry and dessert lover. The concept is also something which is not common in Singapore’s dining scene where a tasting menu is curated around pastries and dessert, and this by itself is enough reason to check out this place. I am also very keen to dine at the cafe section on my next visit to try their specialty coffee, croissants and other bakes.
Beyond its exquisite Cantonese cuisine, the colonial setting of the restaurant provides a charming backdrop for a delightful gastronomic experience. The dining experience left an enduring impression, and I eagerly look forward to revisiting to indulge in Chef Wong’s culinary masterpieces once more.
Putting aside the name of the concept, I had a great meal at Chef Chan’s Private Dine where some of the dishes like the cabbage, roast chicken, chicken soup and fried koay teow are excellent. Chef Wong’s culinary skills are amazing, and his food is definitely something I look forward to having again.
A modern take on Japanese ingredients, Iru Den is for Japanese lovers who want something more than a typical traditional Japanese Omakase meal. Each course is consistently good, along with an interesting variety of beverage pairings. Head here for a celebratory meal or special occasion which is a destination dining on its own.
Maetomo showcases two different styles of sushi with a good variety of other dishes along the way. The setting of the sushi counter is intimate, while service is professional and you get that bit of interaction with the chef as well which makes the dining experience more memorable. This is a Japanese restaurant to consider if you want to splurge on an omakase meal.
The whole dining experience was delightful, and we were seated at the counter seat where we see chefs in action.
