The Towkay Suite, or ‘The Boss Suite’ in Hokkien dialect, is about 22sqm. Our room was on the fifth floor, the room is small but it has what you need. It is equipped with a small lounge or sofa area and a luxurious king-sized bed, with floor-to-ceiling high window facing the bustling KL view with a view of KL Tower. I quite like it, as I like to watch the commuter and cars pass by.
Dah lama teringin nak overnight di sini since tukar nama ni. Sebelum ni, hotel ni di kenali sebagai Tune Hotel KL !
The Chow Kit is a beautiful bespoke hotel, a blend of cosmopolitan and cosy finishes with luxurious comfort you can expect from a luxurious 5 star hotel, just minus the recreational facilities such as the spa, the gym or the swimming pool…
The room at first glance, it did feels oriental, resembling the golden days of the Chinese den, especially the bed frame and the fixed lights. The placement of the sink rather odd, beside the bed, probably due to internal space constraint. Bed was comfy. I love the Smart TV during my stay as it allows me to connect to Apple TV. Water pressure in the bathroom was superb and I have no issue with the drainage. The only amenity that lacking was no disposable toothbrush and toothpaste.

Finally get to try out this legendary Fish & Chips, after seeing it for countless time on social media. in The Chow Kit Kitchen & Bar’s very own version of East meets West fish & chips, putting together signature tandoori marinated fish, crispy kale, hand-cut chips and tartar sauce. Still crispy at the outside, moist within though we took quite a while to figure out the best angle to take a picture for this “fish”.
