At the end of the day, it is all about family staycation. We know there are many other resorts at Desaru Coast, we are happy with The Westin Desaru.
The Heavenly® Bed – This is what makes sleep & rest in all The Westin Hotels exclusive. Guests can #SleepWell on their signature bed and bedding set that put together custom pillow-top mattress designed with a soft padded structure and individual pocket springs, layer on soothing Westin linens, plush pillows, cozy down blanket and custom duvet.
The Westin falls under the generic global chain and offers the usual experience – massive property, massive grounds, hundreds of rooms, big Seasonal Tastes buffet breakfasts, their Italian Prego restaurant and a clean beach with a beach bar.
We stayed in the Premier Seaview Twin Room, a luxuriously appointed, spacious room (42 sqm) featuring the iconic award-winning Westin Heavenly® bed, plus extras such as the Lavender Balm to help you wind down naturally and SLEEP WELL. Our room comes with a balcony (with double locking system), with a stunning view of the pool as well as the South China Sea. It is also the perfect spot for watching the sunrise in the mornings.
I am thekind of person that would pay the extra penny to be in a sea view room than a garden view room. The Westin does offer a wide range of rooms from Garden View, Partial Sea View and the Premier Sea View room. We spent a total of 3 days 2 nights here, in the Premier Sea View Room, with complimentary daily breakfast and daily dining credit of RM100 for a total of RM1,472.
Reasons to visit Prego The Westin Desaru Coast Resort: the cheesiest of all possible carbonaras, sea bass with sea views, and appetizers worth making a meal out of.
Treat your family to an authentically Italian feast at Prego, helmed by Chef Massimiliano Ascione. Be lured in by the aroma of freshly baked breads and pizza...
For our appetizers, we had the Insalata caprese (RM65) and Funghi gratinati (RM55). The former is a classic, well-executed with buffalo mozzarella cheese, tomato, confit garlic, anchovies as well as a basil and oregano pesto. A fresh, light start to our meal.
