In conclusion, I believe I have found a new coffee place that surpasses in both coffee and cakes. This review was a little short because everything was pretty straight forward.
Of course, I had to get my favourite order, Sisig, consisting of chopped pig head with onions, chilli peppers, calamansi and egg, served on a sizzling hotplate. The parts of the pig’s head create a medley of interesting textures: you get the crunch from the cartilage, and soft and fatty bits from the jowls and cheeks. It’s definitely not a healthy dish, what with the fat and grease, but it’s oh-so-sinful.
This time I ordered the fish and chips at MYR 18 nett. From the taste, this is not dory fish but I am not sure what fish it is because I did not ask. I like the thick chips.
This time I ordered the salted egg pasta for MYR15 nett. It has small cubes of chicken meat. The curry leaves enhanced the taste of the salted egg yolk sauce. Tastes quite good and my friend agrees with me.
I was primarily here for my sisig quota of the month. I’ve mentioned multiple times on this blog, but I LOVE sisig, especially the one served at Razon’s. Unfortunately, Malaysians are not blessed with the grace of an outlet here, so this will have to suffice. I guess not many Malaysians find chopped pig’s ears, neck and jowls appealing lol.
The sisig here was just okay. After Razon’s, everything pales by comparison. The version at Narra wasn’t as finely chopped and they used a lot of onions; so it ended up having a strong onion flavour which overpowered the pork. The sizzling bits were also a little too hard on the outside. Portion was quite large but price was reasonable. Didn’t manage to try anything else on the menu since I was dining alone but they have all the staples such as adobo, tapsilog, and more.
Penne Pasta with Beef Meatballs - MYR 15 nett - at Miss Molly. The portion is big so I kept half of it for dinner. It is quite tasty (a bit on the salty side) but I prefer this to the duck pasta. Penne is easier to handle than the long strands of spaghetti pasta. Initially I wanted macaroni but they ran out of it so Penne it is then.
Chicken Chop Burger, 16 ringgit. So, under their chicken burger selection, they offer two options – Chicken Chop and Zinger. The former is pan fried and the latter is deep fried. I opted for the Chicken Chop Burger and boy, it was yummmmmm! Another filling dish, be sure to order this when your stomach is empty. The burger was made up of a combination of burger buns + cheese + a generous portion of a boneless chicken + cucumbers + greens, with a side of fries. It was delicious – juicy, meaty and flavorful. Loved it.
My co-workers and I ate at Good Golly Miss Molly, Millenium Square, PJ again and this time I ordered the duck pasta for MYR15 nett. Too al-dente. Softer would be nice for me.
We went to Good Golly Miss Molly at Millenium Square, PJ for lunch to celebrate a co-worker's birthday and I was captivated by the sight of this tasty and pretty looking raspberry chocolate cheese cake. I knew I could not eat both main meal (pasta or rice or sandwich or burger) and a slice of cheese cake so I had to choose one and the cake won so I ate a slice of cake as my lunch.
