Pontian is a district in southwest Johor. Pontian in Malay language is called “Perhentian” means a stop Pontian Kecil is situated 1.5 hours away (via bus) from Johor Bahru. Pontian also is a seafood haven noted for its variety of seafood which is sold at a reasonable price. A fishing village about 20 km from Pontian Kecil.
So tonight I am gonna share 2 famous restaurants in Pontian town, which can be found in other Pontian food blogs! These 2 places are apparently very famous, as I saw a lot of Singapore tourists there during my visit.

If you are in JB or Singapore, don't go all the way to Pontian for this roti prata lah.... But, if you are already in Pontian to buy fish or having coffee at Kheng Guan Hiong, Encik Shahrir's roti prata is worth a try.

During the weekend their shop will be full of customer that come from Singapore and also the local people that come to their shop to taste for their signature food and drinks which is their kaya and butter toast and their coffee. Although both of this are a very normal food and drinks in our daily life but it is very tasty also also very aromatic.

據了解,老板每天親自到面包廠領取面包,然後手工切片,用炭燒來燒的。 碳烤過的白面包加上自制加央醬,再搭配上 ‘冰塊’ 牛油。在溫度的調解下, 牛油隨著融化,和加央混合在一起,滲入面包內,一口咬下去,不止吃到奶油的香味,加央的甜味,還能聞到椰子的香氣,炭燒的氣味不時滲出,讓人欲罷不能。
