Kanada-ya’s award-winning, flavourful pork bone broth is first boiled for 18-hours, making it rich and creamy before mixing in a secret sauce to add flavour and umami to the broth.
Kanada-Ya specialized in the authentic Tonkotsu ramen, the award-wining, rich and flavouful pork bone broth boiled for 18 hours before mixing in a secret sauce to add flavour and umami to the broth.
This is a satisfactory meal. The ramen is good. Not my top 5 favourite ramen shops in Singapore. But good enough to sate any ramen cravings.
Overall Kanada-Ya Singapore in PLQ Mall does offer a good bowl of ramen but don’t expect wonderful ambience or great overall dining experience.
The broth is a solid quality tonkotsu with skinny noodles, and fortunately, that special bowl above didn't overdo the truffle either. But they shockingly failed to trim the asparagus (i.e., they gave me the inedible base). I still prefer Ippudo, but I am curious to see how this shop's tori paitan fares, as well as its gyu-don.

The oysters were expertly fried and had a juicy interior that wasn’t dried out in the cooking process.
If you want a taste of this popular ramen, you should expect to queue, as their first outpost in Singapore only has 40 seats.
