We returned to Restoran Nasi Kapau for one of the best Nasi Padang in Kuala Lumpur. One of the best Indonesian food in KL.
One dish here we’ve yet to find elsewhere is Ayam Pop (RM7) – chicken cooked in coconut water and spices before it is fried to golden brown. The meat is tender and flavourful. The accompanying sambal is mildly spicy and sweet, and cooked with a bit of petai for the slight pungent hit.
Restoran Nasi Kapau serves one of the best Nasi Padang in Kuala Lumpur. Our favourite dishes include Dendeng and Ayam Pop! Sedap!
Our favourite here has to be the Dendeng Lambok Lado Ijo (RM8) – thin beef slices served with sambal ijo (green chilli sambal). So, we initially thought that this dish was Dendeng Batokok as they appear similar. However, while Dendeng Batokok tends to dry, the Dendeng Lambok here is more moist and it is boiled with spices before it is flattened and fried.
