From one of the front noodle stall, I ordered a plate of roast pork (RM15) for us to share. It was a hearty breakfast for 4 of us that we have to skip lunch.
Have to go early though to catch the Chee Cheong Fun, the Hainanese Pau or dumplings and to try their famous Lenggong Fried Noodles.....
Reasons to visit: exquisite French cuisine; professional service.
A variety of pau with fillings of pork, chicken, lotus paste, kaya and vegetarian ones. They are also famous for their lor mai kai (Glutinuous rice chicken) and every time when I am there, I see a long queue of people waiting to buy the buns and lor mai kai.
If you are a fan of chee cheong fun, I would like to recommend that you try it at Kedai Kopi & Makanan Yei Lock on Jalan Kampar in Ipoh.
The pau from Yei Lock had a very nice texture to it; being pillowy soft and fluffy, without the stick-to-one’s teeth gripe. But we did find that the fillings was not the most generous. Particularly memorable were the buns with vegetable, curry chicken and kaya fillings. The Char Siew one was supposed to be one of their signature, but Dad walloped the piece whole before I even got to see the content inside.
