Air Itam Sister Curry Mee Chee Cheong Fun at Air Itam Penang Malaysia
The famous Sister Curry Mee was founded by two iconic sisters in Air Itam, Penang since 1946. They're now in their late 80s and the stall has been taken over by their grandniece. We're fortunate that the curry mee stall will continue to serve this iconic dish in its original recipe brought down from the sisters
The soup not really thick but it have the aromatic hint of coconut and curry blend in it. The bowl of curry mee is served with the noodles, cuttle fish, coagulated pig blood and tauhu-pok and the curry paste. Indulge this sinfully addictive bowl of curry noodles and you will totally in love with them.
Today it is mainly handled by their grandniece and grandnephew, who will be taking over the stall to carry on the culinary traditions of their aunts.

They are not your typical Penang Curry mee version as is slightly unique with their own chili paste. Their two main major unique ingredient is the chili and the special cuttle fish chili base and also cook the soup over a charcoal stove. There is where the umph of soup is slightly different.
