Bakery Brera review - neighbourhood bakery near d’Leedon and St Ignatius Church next to Empress Market Farrer Road.
Overall, most of the items from Brera Bakery hit the right notes with me especially the croissants and I would definitely buy from them again to enjoy some of the perfect bakes they developed.

This dish is more commonly found in Teochew restaurants rather than in a hawker setting. To be able to enjoy restaurant quality fare at a fraction of the price is truly a blessing.
The hor fun was really interesting, covered by a layer of egg which was soft and charred at parts, with chewy horfun with quite a bit of wok hei, and contrasted by the slightly crunchy and sweet chai por. The prawns were also fresh and bouncy. Really nice and satisfying.
Do not mind coming back at all.
One of the very best when it comes to wanton noodles.
Ah Wing Wanton Mee is value for money and seems rather popular but chances of me coming back for it is not high.
wanton noodles was quite good. noodles were qq & chilli was good. char siew good too.
Soh Food Delivery Review: Stewed Duck from Empress Road Market, Farrer Road by Deliveroo with pictures of stewed duck and spinach ...
The duck leg that I got was tender but the meat was a little dry and stringy.
The duck meat was pinkish, tender and fragrant inside, with throughly braised/stewed skin that was soft and slippery. The mushrooms were bouncy and yielded easily to the bite. Even the vegetables had been stewed till soft. The chilli was spicy and piquant – potent.
All in all, I grew to like Happy Roast World more by the end of my meal, solely because of its roasted pork belly.
Happy World Roast at Empress Road Market & Food Centre specializes in Cantonese roast meats.
Though not the best but it has a lot of soul and authenticity that you do not come across often these days. This is truly the kind of passionate and hardworking hawker stall that deserves our utmost respect.
The latte was the milky variety with slight fruitiness and nuttiness, and possessing an interesting and unique flowery flavour. Nice environs. If driving, you can access the cafe from the carpark through the Clubhouse Leedon Wing elevator.
Lovely, lovely. I will still be around more often.
Overall, this was a lovely place to chill, especially for those who love a tranquil, serene settings and poolview. Complimentary wi-fi is also available if you would like to get some work done here, especially on weekday afternoons.
The dempsey area is no stranger to me as it was the location of the HQ Medical Corps more than two decades ago and I had the opportunity to ...
It was full-on brunch and the prices were quite high!

Siri House Review where we dined elegantly for Valentines Day Lunch. The Food very much matched the Art Deco interior design...
Will I Return Again? Overall, I enjoyed the dishes I had at Siri House. Each course is consistently good, all the way to desserts which are not too sweet for my palate. Head here for a meal to escape from town.
I thought this was a good cheeseburger this time round, moist and smoky, with the sourness of the pickles and the slightly tart sauce coming through. Satisfying.

Fried chicken had a nice crisp turmeric batter that sealed in the juices in the meat.
Botanico and Bee's Knees have definitely taken modern SEA cooking to the next level and I found myself surprised at every bite.
Beyond the inventive cafe dishes on the menu, another reason to visit Bee’s Knees is the atmosphere.
I like that the truffle carbonara has arugula leaves on it so that the bitterness can undercut the heaviness.

Her creations now reflect a greater nuance and finesse with a new focus on South East Asian flavours.
I thought it was a pity that the food didn't quite work out.
Crown Bakery & cafe is another great cafe along Bukit Timah Road. They have a really nice blue interior with black and white checkered floors and lamps resembling their crown logo.
Quality of food and service still remain pleasant since my first visit many years back with friends.
My favorite of the lot, was the Japanese Sweet Potato Mini Loaf. When its stated as mini, it really was!
It is simple yet complicated and thoughtful, put together with sweet, sour, salty, bitter and full of umami flavours in mind. Completing the experience on the plate, all the dishes are artistically presented.

The Culina folks have a market-cum-dining room on Dempsey Hill, with the high ceilings of those black and white barracks creating a pleasantly large space centered around a wine bar.

Next time I should try to sidestep those wagyu prices by going for the spatchcock instead.
Overall, it was definitely a memorable experience.
Save to say, Fat Belly gets my votes for the value for money steakhouse in Singapore.

Their grilled fishes were quite nicely done and there's a kaisen chahan that was unexpectedly peppery. The latter wasn't a bad thing.
Long Beach @ Dempsey is situated in a serene enclave outside of the city area, offering a contemporary oriental dining experience.

Service is extremely speedy and dishes arrived in quick succession (all the better for a higher turnover, I suspect). The food was, as usual, generally consistent and delicious, with nary a wrong step.
Seriously concentrated, layered and good stuff, this affogato.

The ambience is great, and it is especially difficult to find a spacious and lush dining space in Singapore.

PS. Cafe is a good place to head to; it would be great if only the prices are slightly lower.
