Burnt Ends is one of the hottest restaurants at Dempsey, Singapore. Reservations for the main dining hall open a month in advance and are quickly snapped up.
The Place Getting a table at Burnt Ends is no easy feat. I managed to check out the new Burnt Ends space in Dempsey (they have relocated from their previous Teck Lim Road outlet), all thanks to a f…
This was Burnt Ends' take on congee, and it was as delicious as it looked, especially given not just that gloriously orange egg yolk but also the wonderfully savory maitake mushroom. I was also particularly happy with his very tender chicken necks and hearts too.
The Place Located in Dempsey, I decided to check out Canchita Peruvian Cuisine after seeing pictures of its gorgeous space online. I was admittedly drawn to the space rather tha…

Tinto Restaurant Singapore is a new Spanish restaurant that has sprouted in the Dempsey Hill dining enclave. It is helmed by Chefs Daniel and Tamara Chávez, the couple behind Peruvian restaurant, Canchita which is also at Dempsey, a stone’s throw away.
The Place Located in Dempsey Hill, the newest kid on the block is Tinto, a new Spanish restaurant which took over the space of the now-defunct Moonbow. Taking its name and inspiration from the Spanish name for red wine, vino tinto, Tinto restaurant is helmed by husband-and-wife chefs Daniel and Tamara Chávez who are also behind the nearby Canchita Peruvian Cuisine.
Overall dinner was great with good food and company. I will be back for their Tapas and Mains for sure. Recommend coming in a group so you can order a bunch of tapas dishes and mains to share.
Jumbo Seafood Dempsey Bento Box review - available for delivery or takeaway with pictures of bento boxes and collection from Dempesy Hill Singapore
The crust was good, with a doughy taste and nicely browned along the rim. But I thought that the toppings on the pizza were rather limited for a $29++ pizza. The pieces of Italian baked ham were sliced very thinly. I could hardly detect their presence.
Being American and knowing all about Americanized Chinese Food, I am very skeptical when a Singaporean restaurant claims it is based on American-style Chinese food. Chop Suey kind of promotes itself that way with the food and the name of the restaurant.
Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie is the latest new cafe at the Dempsey dining enclave. It takes over a large space at Block 13. In this space, there is a factory area where chocolate production takes place. a retail area and a cafe area where chocolates and other light food can be enjoyed.
We had mixed feelings about the decor. I suppose it depends on which section we get seated at. Some areas have bottles nicely displayed so that it would feel like dining in a wine cellar.
Dempsey Hill has always provided a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and Burnt Ends Bakery makes it a whole lot more worth the journey.
The space of Air is lovely, and the restaurant injects a new lease of life to the dining scene in Dempsey, which in recent years, has not been particularly exciting in my opinion. If you are looking for a good value chef’s menu to try in a fine-casual setting, this is one to note down.
Bincho at Min Jiang Dempsey is the second Bincho outlet of the Unlisted Collection restaurant group. It is not as quirky as the first one, Bincho at Hua Guan, in Tiong Bahru, but this modern yakitori restaurant is still unique enough to leave a strong impression on us.

Siri House Review where we dined elegantly for Valentines Day Lunch. The Food very much matched the Art Deco interior design...
Will I Return Again? Overall, I enjoyed the dishes I had at Siri House. Each course is consistently good, all the way to desserts which are not too sweet for my palate. Head here for a meal to escape from town.
I thought this was a good cheeseburger this time round, moist and smoky, with the sourness of the pickles and the slightly tart sauce coming through. Satisfying.
Homegrown burger stall Hammee’s Burgers is back from their brief hiatus with new and improved tweaks to their yummy burgers! Read more.
Fried chicken had a nice crisp turmeric batter that sealed in the juices in the meat.
Given a chance to be back again, I will very much like to order their main courses.
Open Farm Community New Dishes maybe created and filled with with local flavours, however, I feel that there isn’t any wow factor. Some fine tuning to the dishes may be required. Generally, I notice the vegetarian dishes were extremely well executed, so were the pasta.
A little pricey for the portions but it was delicious.
It is simple yet complicated and thoughtful, put together with sweet, sour, salty, bitter and full of umami flavours in mind. Completing the experience on the plate, all the dishes are artistically presented.

The Culina folks have a market-cum-dining room on Dempsey Hill, with the high ceilings of those black and white barracks creating a pleasantly large space centered around a wine bar.

Long Beach @ Dempsey is situated in a serene enclave outside of the city area, offering a contemporary oriental dining experience.
38 reviews of Long Beach Seafood "wow, this was awesome. messy, spicy crab but so worth it. we drank wine but this is definitely a place you want to drink lots of cold beer. service was great. didn't seem like a touristy place at all. my only…
Service is extremely speedy and dishes arrived in quick succession (all the better for a higher turnover, I suspect). The food was, as usual, generally consistent and delicious, with nary a wrong step.
The ambience is great, and it is especially difficult to find a spacious and lush dining space in Singapore.

PS. Cafe is a good place to head to; it would be great if only the prices are slightly lower.
