Overall, I do say this place does live up to the hype.
For example we really like this Unagi Bao RM28. Small in size, big in flavours. Spicy, succulent unagi contrasted by crunchiness of deep fried nori, flavours lifted up with salted egg crumble and julienne cucumber for a refreshing crisp that comes in just right. Served over a basket of sweet potato chips.
THE LINGUIST (MYR 30) Sautéed Prawns and Clams with Chili Linguine, Garlic and Rocket Huge and fresh prawns were spotted!
Allow spice master and culinary maestro Yogesh Upadhyay a.k.a. Chef Yogi take you on a whirlwind tour of India, culturally and gastronomically at Flour.
An old bungalow has been given an updated elegant demeanour as Flour’s new abode after its former Hartamas abode. We had the Parivartan Evolution part 2 menu, a culinary passage thru India, guided by Chef Yogi who hails from Rajasthan. He offered a world-view of Indian cuisine, not just as we know it – consisting of just Indian breads, butter chicken and predictable curries, but expanded across the continent, showcasing inspired dishes from different states. And what a journey it was!
For those who enjoy Indian food, I highly recommend visiting Flour if you haven't done so already. You may no longer be able to try Aarrambh, as that chapter is now closed. However, you still have the chance to experience Parivartan, where the restaurant's dextrous breaking of the rules of Indian cooking without disrespecting the foundations laid before since the dawn of the civilisation is itself worth your money and time.
Cowboy Fries (RM 13.50) One can also enjoy the Cowboy Fries where one definitely addicted to it. The cowboy fries comes awesomely good with the delicious
Cowboy French Fries(Beef), This Beef Meat loaded fries are perfect for feeding a hungry crowd. Piled high with all my favorite ingredients and is delicious!
Reasons to visit: this round we loved the Peanut Shake and thought the off-menu order of the Traffic Jam was quite fun; from our last visit though we highly recommend the Spinach Burger and Cheese Skirt.
印度薄脆饼(Papadum)搭配汇合薄荷叶、香菜、姜和蒜混合而成的Chutney蘸酱,是最经典的印度餐前小吃。
And one of the must have here is their Firewood Chicken Dhum Briyani. This time, we ordered the awesomely prepared chicken briyani which is packed with flavours and they comes with generous portion for sure. The Chicekn briyani comes with the kachchi mos (raw meat), marinated with spices overnight then soaked in dahi (curd), which is then sandwiched between layers of fragrant basmati rice, exotic Indian spices, Egyptian saffron, Persian cashews, and almonds. The meat was so tender and juicy and they are really awesomely good. Every mouthful of the briyani is just heavenly.
We started off with their Tandoori Platter where they are the Mixed Kebab (Medium) (RM 50). For first timer here, do try the delicious mixed kebab that comes with the selections of their best selections which include the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka, Fish Tikka, Seekh Kebab and prawns. Each of the items are carefully selected and every mouthful is perfectly good and such an indulgence.
Musang King Bar, made from pure natural fruit, its taste may vary according to different batches.
Durian BB serves Durian Platter (RM49) where it contains five types of Durian such as the flavour(marked with a star), D101, D13, D24 and D197 aka Musang King from the left to right on the platter. No worries, it provides free gloves and tissues. Thus, we can eat it easily. It is highly recommendation to taste the flavor from start a marked with a star to D197(from the mildest to most bitter savour) lastly in order to experience different tastes and flavours of each types of Durian.
老树猫山王 Musang King D197 One of our famous durian in Malaysia. Also my favorite among these 5 flavors of durians. It was so rich and taste heavenly too.
Verdict: Definitely not a bad choice to assuage one’s yearning for homey Chinese boiled soup (steamed soup in this case). Prices are really wallet friendly, nothing too fancy (except those exotic soups), just hearty wholesome food served in a fuss-free setup.
Moving onto the more “exotic” dish, pork lovers would love the Wild Boar Curry (RM7.50). It’s a bowl of wild boar pieces, complemented by the fragrance of thick curry broth, sprinkled with cilantro. The wild board was tender so it was a pleasure to enjoy. The curry was thick and has a hint of spiciness to it, it’s perfect for those with heavy flavoured taste buds.
Instead, the soup is light with a strong acidic tomato flavour profile. Slow-cooked with onions, tomato puree, spices and bonito dashi; the soup is light with a stronger acidic bite from the tomatoes. It’s actually perfect for dipping the vegetables in.
Our Hokkaido Soup Curry in tomato base, with eggplant, lotus, capsicum, pumpkin, carrot, shimeiji mushroom & Fried Chicken Drumstick – the very classic choice. Complete with 200g Japanese rice. Priced at RM19.50. If you came during weekday lunch hour, your meal will be in set, complete with Houjicha and fruits.
The main dishes – one was soupy and the other was curry based, I had a liking toward the curry. It must the flavor and the thick-ish texture. Yum yum. The Katsu Chicken, I loved. Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, delicious. The combination of the crunchy meat and the flavorful Japanese curry – was da bom
這裡的「鵝肝慕斯片皮乳豬」【RM398/每只】也非常獨特,金光閃閃的片皮乳豬搭配特製薄餅,在中間添加了濃濃的鵝肝慕斯,創意十足。
Recently, I was invited to dine at Noble House sampling the winning creations 'Classic Nanyang Cantonese Cuisine' by Chef Peter Tsang and Chef Justin Hor in conjunction with Oriental Group '9th Annual Chef Event' kicking off from 21st August 2017 to 30th September 2017. These tantalising dishes which preserves the authentic flavours will be available for all diners to devour at all Oriental Group Of Restaurant from 21st August 2017 to 30th September 2017. Spoilt for choice from the elaborate ala-carte menu, you can order the 2 preset menus namely the Majestic Set (RM1,888 Nett) per table for 10 pax or the Royal Set ( RM3,888 Nett).
Levain is a lovely space to spend time in (or on the patio), even if the pastries aren’t really to my taste. If they expand the menu a little, or if I come for business coffee and and really like the cakes, I might boost the score.
Verdict: It’s an affordable comfort food that’s can be enjoyed anytime. If you’re in the area, you may stop by Mei Sin Kopitiam and give this a try.
This morning I am on for Dry Rat Noodle with mixed fish and meat balls as well as bean curds.
Two dishes with rice for 2 pax during lunch time.
Be that as it may, that was a great dinner and probably much healthier than your standard BKT joint with all that veggie.
♥Verdict: Definitely not a bad choice to assuage one’s yearning for homey Chinese boiled soup (steamed soup in this case). Prices are really wallet friendly, nothing too fancy (except those exotic soups), just hearty wholesome food served in a fuss-free setup.
Haven't have such a good 水餃 dumpling for quite some time, it's main ingredients are pork, prawn, and chessnuts, very very nice indeed!
Beautifully located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur which allows you to savour some authentic japanese cuisine while overseeing the breathtaking view. The layout of restaurant brings back the reminiscent of a wealthy Japanese family home in the olden days complete with a courtyard surrounded by mock houses, secret corridors, and bamboo plants. Dining the genuine Japanese way indeed perfect the gastronomical experience.
The service was fast and attentive. The Truffle fries (RM25) and Chocolate Croissant (RM12) were just decent and the White coffee was pretty lacklustre. The lack of dessert at this spot also seems to be a missed opportunity.
Choose from favourites of stuffed Tofu, Chillies, Tofu Pok, Bendi, Brinjal, Foo Chuk Rolls, Bittergourd, Fishballs and many more. Priced at RM 1.60 per pc, this is really a steal for its yummy, tender & meaty offerings!
The flat white is executed well. We also enjoyed the carrot cake – sufficiently moist with a decadent amount of cream.
All in, we enjoyed the meal here at Miyatake Sanuki Udon at the TRX branch. We also tried the Coriander Beef Udon on another occasion; if you like coriander, this should hit the spot as they are very generous with the coriander.
Reasons to visit Monroe KL: north American diner-style setting; surrounded by greenery; all-day breakfast; we particularly enjoyed the cold-pressed juices, Steak & Eggs and Seabass Provencal.
