Recommended by The Ranting Panda. The Japanese Dashi Noodle was a nice light ramen. The dashi broth was light and refreshing, yet savoury and slightly porky and oily with hints of citrus. Both the pork and duck cha shu were flavourful, with the pork carrying some smokiness from being torched. The noodles were springy with bite. Nice comforting bowl.
The Place Hailing from Kobe, Japan, a visit to Enishi Singapore at International Plaza is a must if you love a good bowl of ramen – just avoid weekday lunch hours when the restaurant can be very bu…
How exactly was it different you might wonder? Different enough that I regretted ordering the 'special' bowl for the extra ingredients.
All the noodles were below the rim so the protruding pile were mostly bean sprouts if anyone was wondering.
I like the tori paitan.
The only difference I could discern was that this regular Megamen bowl had more broth and the dry bowl has nori and ajitama.
Hakumai ticks the right boxes when it comes to affordability and balancing it with quality.
I can never resist fresh Hotate sashimi with just a dab of that grated wasabi. Though the pricing here is also a little high as compared to Koh Grill & Sushi Bar.
It was better than I thought it would be, especially since the noodles were cooked firmly, and they weren't shy about using lots of oil.
Tried their curry prawn risotto. Curry was thick and had a bit of heat but it wasn't complex enough that the flavour became monotonous after a bit.
Their prices are pretty affordable.
For the price offer, I thought it was quite a good deal considering there are free flow variety of meat options. And do order their Durian King Cream Puff for dessert.

For the price, you are probably looking at one of the more affordable quality Japanese buffet in Singapore, and it’s central location will work in everyone’s favour. That said, don’t come here for its buffet expecting a star-worthy experience.
I was surprised by how much I liked that beef bowl above, mainly because they seasoned it just right.
Overall, the soft serve is refreshing and light, and we would recommend trying it whether or not you decide to have your lunch there.
With a limited menu, I wonder if customers would frequently return to an eatery… unless the food is out of this world, super wallet-friendly, or has enough variety to try out different permutations.
Another of my favourite sushi, the hotate. Raw scallop sushi, so sweet! Can't get enough of the fine taste of fresh scallops.
Got the white with an extra shot. That makes three espressos. Coffee's a little acidic.
Tried the fruit juice curry because I've never had it before. It's a bowl of udon with fruits and tofu. I liked the broth for the fruity spicy flavours which reminded me of the assam/tamarind in Penang laksa.
One of their winning elements is also the murals on their brick walls, painted by a local Penang artist, incorporating many iconic images of Penang and 3D elements.
The Penang renditions of classic dishes such as char kway teow and prawn mee are better than the conventional versions in my opinion.
this plate of jiaozi was great.
This is probably my favorite white bee hoon place across the entire island right now. Their sliced ginger soup was rather unique too. Digested at 12:10 PM
Do check out Bimi Kaiho Restaurant if you’re interested in an authentic Japanese dining experience!
From my observation, a good portion of CBD workers are generally more price-sensitive, and I think working on portions and servings can make Harvestry a better draw.
Coffees served at both cafes are roasted themselves in small batches, to highlight the qualities that are unique to each coffee’s varietal, processing method and origin.
Average it is. But it’s definitely a convenient place to grab a quick lunch or chill out over some beers in the Tanjong Pagar area.
Shinagawa Ramen Restaurant is one of several on the floor dishing out afforadable Japanese food.

A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Every item was good, with the only exception being the noodles having a slight kee or alkaline flavour, although this was made up for by the outstanding sauce made of dried shrimps and kelp.

A trip to Maxwell to da bao brought us to some of our favorites and some new experiences too. China Street Fritters and their Ngoh Hiang, Liver Rolls, Egg Slice and Sausage with Bee Hoon.
Nice. The rendang was nutty and lemak
