Verdict: The one I tried at Taman Sri Segambut served good Wonton Mee but the Char Siew wasn’t up to par. This Ah Soon Wantan Mee was slighter better with both noodles and Char Siew were above average. Well, if you’re in Kepong area, I suggest that you try both since their locations are quite near to each other, so you can make your judgement .
Verdict: I have only been to Hong Kong once and have no comment of the authenticity of their food. Based on my personal preference, the food didn’t quite live up to my expectation as the flavour was too bland to my liking. As I aware the flavour of Hong Kong food is not as strong as ours, so it’s understandable that the food served at Stay Fresh didn’t suit my taste bud.
Verdict: I have no hesitation in recommending this place to the Pan Mee fanatic. Although I don’t mind the queue but I was kind of lost my patience when I drenched in sweat midway through the lunch. ~>_<~ Perhaps I can bring a handheld mini fan during my next visit. LOL
Verdict: My family and I left with almost resonating burps and a few dishes that evening got much praised from everyone such as the Salted Egg Butter Crabs, Vietnamese Curry Pot, ‘Nen Nen’ Sotong and the Butter Choy Dam. The price is indeed very wallet friendly too! Give this stall a try if you happen to be at this area.
E Burger is a family run burger stall and they also serve roti john besides the usual stuff. The husband mans the grill while the wife helps out with the rest. Sometimes he’d be away to go back home to resupply his stocks of patties and cheese. That doesn’t stop the show though, as she will step in while waiting for him to return.
Reasons to visit La Cucina by Spetta: good, hearty food, made from scratch with local fresh ingredients; happy food; super relaxed chill-out atmosphere; beautiful family unit; dog and Hash House Harrier friendly.
Mont Kiara is a bit out of the way from central KL, and I wouldn’t recommend travelling out there for this. However, if you’re nearby and have exhausted your usual places, it might be worth your while.
Hot Chocolate (MYR 12) Smooth and rich cup of Korte 60% cacao content from West Java Sipping some good cuppa while accompanied by a calming landscape front view- bliss!
[Pork-free] Don’t be a rookie, have a Brookie. Brookie (brownie + cookie) is soft and chewy, with gooey choc chips inside.
Good service, but small portion and average taste given the price point.
Although the staff’s attitude could use a tune-up and the prices are obnoxious, I begrudgingly have to admit that the food here is quite tasty. It’s what keeps this place decently busy, even at midday on a Monday with no lunch sets offered. This meal cost us over RM50 and we didn’t even get any drinks, and Mark wasn’t all that hungry and tried to get something small. If you’re a regular person who cares how much money flies out of your bank account, Ra-Ft should be reserved for an occasion and not just a whatever work lunch. And definitely make sure you are hungry, so that you’re not paying RM20 for a salad.
The Botanist RM25 – a vegetarian dish that caught Summergirl’s attention the most, as not many cafes have vegetable-loaded brunch dish like this other than salad. Gluten free bread with mashed peas spread, further layered up with broccoli, zucchini, kale and pea sprouts! Not to forget, a poached egg hidden within.
Overall, we enjoyed the two ramen bowls here and would return again to try their other offerings.
We had the Shiro (ori) and Koro (squid ink) – the tonkotsu broth – supposedly boiled for 36 hours or more – for both were hearty, full-bodied and packed with flavour and depth – definitely not for the faint-hearted. For RM31.20 you get 2 sizable slabs of chashu, an egg, fungus, seaweed and spring onion – in other words, the works, including a cup of oolong tea. It’s RM39 for Tsukemen which has chewier, denser noodles.
This is undeniably a great bowl of ramen. You don’t get ginormous queues like Kanbe does if the food isn’t extraordinary. Every bowl is crafted by the person ordering it. The other ramen shops I’ve been to only allow you to choose what type of flavoured oil you want, and most times there are only about four options! Kanbe, however, allows for all sorts of adjustments, many of which do not require an extra surcharge. I love the additional freebies, like the bottomless veggies and tea. The tea is a small touch but makes a difference. Drinking plain water with ramen just doesn’t taste as good.
Verdict: So after reading the post, you know that my dining experience was a satisfying and impressive one. (^^)v
Overall, we enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken at Nanda Chicken Solaris Mount Kiara. Their version of Korean crispy boneless fried chicken is similar to the ones we tasted in Korea and hence you get the satisfaction dining here. We will definitely visit them again if we are in Solaris Mount Kiara.
Nanda Chicken is a Korean restaurant that serves Korean fried chicken with fondue-style snow cheese. Nanda Chicken Korean restaurant is always full when we go pass this area a few times. It was the crowd and the long queue that attracts our attention to try Nanda chicken last weekend.
Asian Laksa Pasta RM27.90 As this place portrays themselves as an Asian fusion restaurant, I thought it was only appropriate if I tried out one of their Asian inspired dishes. Well, to be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed the sour and spicy flavours of the dish, blame it on my Asian palate. The pasta was cooked to the perfect al dente, and the sauce was tangy and creamy at the same time. It's like your usual Asian dish, but with an added creaminess to it, which to be honest, really complemented each other really well.
Favourite of the night is this Smoked duck breast @ RM 39.90++ Served with creamy potato mash, cherry tomato, sauté seasonal veg & red wine reduction. If some of you does not like slightly strong duck taste, then you might not really enjoy it. It is cook to perfection, soft and slightly pink on the meat. Eat along with the mash is a perfect combination.
Lucky Peaches Eating Hall & Bar offers three special menu; Festival Weekly Specials or Xmas or New Year's Eve 5 course SET Menu from RM118++ per pax, starting 12th December till New Year's Eve
Verdict: The Fat Fish certainly is one of the better restaurants that I’ve eaten lately. It’s a good option if you’re looking for seafood meal in this area.
Salted Egg Pasta (RM32) 💟👍👍👍👍 It has the smoked duck breast, ao nori ko powder in creamy salted egg sauce & parmesan cheese. I fall in love with the salted egg pasta in the thick of creamy cheese! It shocked everyone to feel a spicy chili from this dish! It is not boring because the spicy chilies go well with salted egg sauce! So we enjoyed it very much. I must be recommended the Salted Egg paste to pasta lovers!
Conclusion: better spend your money at a proper Japanese restaurant if your aim is to have sashimi. Off the top of my head, both Ichiro Sushi Bar and Yuzen are able to provide better value, quality and service.
If Crust could just be a little more generous with the toppings, their pizzas would be perfect. I still prefer the pizzas at Crust over the ones at nearby Porto Romano or even Eataly because I am so fucking sick of ultra-thin cracker crusts that I’m willing to sacrifice the rest of the pie for a great crust. As for the burger, I can honestly say that Crust has the best beef burger in Mont Kiara at this time, but it’s barely a competition considering the lack of other options in the area. This makes Crust our new place to fill our pizza and burger cravings when we can’t be arsed to go to Desa Sri Hartamas where there are better, cheaper options. Crust is certainly pricey, so this will not be a restaurant that we visit regularly.

Reasons to visit Crust KL: a lovely setting with indoor and outdoor spaces, excellent gluten-free and vegan options; we really like the texture of their pizza crust; I loved the Figaro pizza, Rich thought the best-selling status of the Cheeseburger well-deserved, and we’d all order the Middle Eastern Platter again.
一个齐集左酒吧同夜店灯红酒绿,同朋友仔饮酒小酌happy hour嘅好地方
The Gold Set is really value-for-money and easily feeds at least 6 adults. There are plenty of other smaller or bigger sets and even sets with drinking options if you enjoy beer, soju or makgeolli. We know why Gangnam 88 is still a popular hotspot for Korean food in Solaris. The ambiance and vibe is certainly pleasant and the food is scrumptious as well as affordable. That evening, the restaurant was packed but service was efficient despite the crowd. Definitely a good spot for Korean food!
Verdict: The Gold Set we had was a fully loaded portion good enough for 5-6 persons that’s great value for money. Reasons to visit? Cheerful ambience, attentive service and great food, if these not enough to attract you, maybe I should spend more time to find you a better one. Gangnam 88 certainly a great place for gathering, be it for friends or families.
Verdict: A place that well worth checking out for dessert devotees. I enjoyed the food and they were admittedly good. Those desserts definitely doesn’t come cheap which I think I only afford to have it occasionally. Q_Q
We will return to Soft Cloud Dessert Cafe when I’m in the mood for souffle pancakes. They’re a lot of food at a pretty good price. It’s a serious sugar rush to eat here, though. There’s nothing remotely savoury on the menu to balance out all the sugar, so it will be a rare occasion.
Apart from souffle, I personally enjoyed their Yuzu Lime Kakigori , it's so refreshing and I like Yuzu flavored food, a complex blend of sweet and sour.
Verdict: The impressive texture of the udon is deeply imprinted in my mind and Miyatake certainly a good place for authentic Sanuki Udon. It’s pure comfort food that I can eat them every day. (*ˊᗜˋノノ*
Overall, we really enjoyed the hot udon for its excellent chewy noodles and tasty broth.
Taste wise, the noodles are as good as I remember them. One thing I enjoy about Miyatake Sanuki’s udon is the texture, and these are perfectly chewy. The winner for me is the dashi, which is gentle but flavourful, and tastes distinctly of anchovies. To be fair, even though the price has increased, the portion has as well.
♥Verdict: Although the food was not on a stellar level but Foo Hou Dim Sim still a good place to head to for some pipping hot Dim Sum. The spacious interior and the attentive service warrant repeat visits too.

The Steamed Har Gao Dumpling comes with the pulpy huge fresh prawns in it which is just superbly good. They are really fresh and delicious.
Kanteen is a little expensive and I wasn’t blown away by anything we ate. It’s your standard brunch place. However, I can’t argue with its location which is so convenient for me. They have a few dishes that I’m interested to try, so we will likely be back here.
Must-have Asian mains – Steamed Lemongrass Seabass RM28. Signature dish here, also our favourite among the rest of the food we sampled that day. So good we already planning to come back for this with our parents. We know they will like this!
Would we come back? Yes – if we are in the area. Eden had enough well-executed dishes to warrant a return visit. In particular, we would definitely order the siu mai, har gao, fish ball, clam dumplings, spare ribs and woo kok.
One of the few remaining surviving Dim Sum restaurants in Kepong is this one; offering Dim Sum from early morning to before mid-night! Eden Dim Sum also have another location presence in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
A couple of items that Eden does right are: Siu Mai (both premium and normal version), Lala Mai, Char Siew Puff, Snow Crab Stick (imitation type) dim sum and fried carrot cake. The rest are pretty run of the mill standard that neither impress nor disappoint.
Conclusion, I liked what I ordered for lunch, the Pancake was definitely flavorful with distinctive pandan taste and look, the 4 pcs were infused with chocolate chips, on the side was honey and a sliced banana, very nice concoction.
很喜欢这里的环境和食物,服务就麻麻地,喜欢吃西餐的朋友可以来试试
This cafe serves many kinds of delicious Italian food besides other western food.
