This restaurant is spacious, clean, tidy, and brightly lighted.
蘭姐清蒸非洲鱼 Restoran Lan Je at USJ 1 is Pork free, the menu items are basically seafood, tofu, chicken dishes and vegetables; maybe 24+ dishes.
Came back for USJ1 "豐記燒臘粥麵飯店 Fong Kee's" Wanton Mee, and ordered to combo of Roasted Pork and Charsiew, also came with fried Wanton. But rm$12.60 for the combo is way too expensive. Charsiew is sweet Caramelized type while Roasted Pork wasn't too bad.
Not just Rice, Curry or Wanton Mee with Roasted items but the restaurant also will have a few hawker stalls like any other typical multi-hawker stall Chinese Kopitiams.
The rm$68 for 2-pax came with mostly seafood and 2 slices of bacon! Doesn't look too much in the beginning, but with the fish broth and final noodles and egg into the hot pit, it was quite filling!
The set for 4 pax, Charcoal Queen Steamboat Set F (RM138) consists of a variety of seafood from seawater fish, prawns, scallops, clams, cuttlefish, snow crab, homemade minced meat balls, fish balls, yam, tofu, fuchuk, mushroom, tofupok, noodles, vegetables and eggs. Most ingredients served are natural, such as the homemade minced meatballs and fresh snow crab meat is the type you can find in Japanese restaurants.
Price of Dim Sum are from rm$5-rm$7.50! The restaurant is air-conditioned, ample parking spaces here in the weekends.
Sampled the Vegetarian Nasi Lemak on 13th Feb this year, definitely like it.
Besides the main chinese mixed rice, a chinese noodle kiosk, and two malay vegetarian stall, looks like the latest addition is an indian vegetarian "goreng-goreng" kiosk; looking forward for sampling it soon!
Fried beancurd is the "simulated pork", also in the bowl are 豆腐卜tao fu pok, chinese cabbage, plus 3 types of mushrooms which are 山毛榉蘑菇 beech mushroom, 香菇 shiitake mushroom slices, 鲍鱼菇 abalone mushrooms! Too bad not 油炸鬼 Char Koay available.
Yes, this is a halal Dim Sum shop.
Likely restaurants here are catering for local residents, nearby light industrial workers, and also some nearby construction sites workers.
5/10. Good ambience (and free WiFi - just ask the staff for the password), but I’m probably not coming back here for the food (or at least the breakfast/lunch/dinner). In my opinion, has many similarities to Mei (also considered a fairly healthy eating spot) and I just think that the quality - at a similar price point - is just much better at Mei. Probably the reason for the slightly harsher review, but a nice spot to have coffee (or at least it has the ambience for it)!
I went for the Hoisin Smoked Duck Rice Roll (RM16), which came in a generous portion with Japanese rice, tempura mushroom and onsen egg. Considering the price vs portion, it was pretty value for money! The duck had a sweet flavour which was closer to a teriyaki glaze, and the meat was tender but not gamey. Loved nibbling on the flavourful extra layer of duck fat on the top ! The tempura mushrooms weren’t greasy and gave the dish a crispy element. Egg was perfectly poached. All in all, a solid rice bowl.
There is a "cool look" to both the interior and exterior of Garage 51, with an mordernist and industrial deco, coupled with reburbished huge oil drums as seats at the entrance, plus the huge mural painting on the big wall outside; you can't miss it. And definitely serves up a good Latte!
The Lab Burger (Beef) seems a bit dry, with thin patty. Ayam Kau Hijau is better, thick and juicy. The Awesome Fries are definitely better than the Nachos. The fried chicken is surprisingly good,..
Here's the location.
Technically, I fell in love with the sauce that was served with the nachos. It was absolutely finger-licking goodness. I was trying to figure out what was that extra 'kick' that they added into the sauce and sprinkled on the nachos, but the only closest clue to that answer would be "curry powder". It definitely added that 'definition' to the whole meal's flavour.
This one is the sriracha chicken plus spaghetti carbonara which was only about RM20. It’s definitely filling and is value for money. The pasta has a lot of mushrooms in it which enriched the taste as well.
After Black Cafe finds its footing within the cafe scene as being superior in every which way. Wooden panels designed to give it the modern feel, food made for the modern man/woman in mind, it’d feel like your in heaven’s doorstep - foodie heaven.
Baked egg with chicken pepperoni RM 13.90: Egg, carrot, button mushroom, capsicum, garlic, mint, tomato sauce, chilli pepper with black charcoal toast Look like Shakshouka that has been given the trimmed down version, it was a little dry. Unusual given that there's egg but it had almost fully cooked. Some may argue this is the stuff of breakfast, I think anytime's a good time for them eggs.
The Fish Bowl is Malaysia’s leading premium poke restaurant, specialised in serving the freshest poke bowls! One of the most recognisable food trends in the colourful, flavourful and Haiwaiian, Poke Bowl. The Fish Bowl also offering special crafted as a homage to local culture flavours, can customise and build your own healthy masterpiece poke bowl ! create yourself.
Established in 2016, "The Fish Bowl" is actually the first poke specialty shop to open in Malaysia.
My dish was the Shoyu Salmon; which is literally just raw salmon. Almost every time I go to the Fish Bowl, I always choose the same ingredients; herby lime sauce, gar-gar sauce, cherry tomatoes, edamame, chili flakes, pickled cucumber, mango, almonds and brown rice as my base. I absolutely love this combo because it has a kick of acidity but the sweetness from the other ingredients make sure that the overall flavour of the bowl is rounded. The gar-gar sauce would definitely be a hit for those who love garlic and the herby lime complemented the raw salmon very well! The portion of the salmon and the sides were generous so it’s worth it for the price. I would point out that the portion of the brown rice did seem a bit lesser than before; maybe it’s just me? Or maybe they were running out of brown rice? I’m not too sure. My bowl was also RM 20.90 but it was definitely worth it!
The Indonesian "Bebek" means Duck, and the rm$19.90 "巴厘香酥鴨錦飯 Magnificent Bebek Bali" is a "Dry Fried Duck" rice meal.
Overall, a good enough effort by Nam Heong.
Excellent pork belly (3 layer) charsiew that comes with the Wanton Mee offered by Nam Heong today.
The President (RM 21.80) For chicken lover, you can go for The President. The president is served with the roasted chicken, mozzarella cheese, French garlic sauce, caramelized onions and the roasted cherry tomato. The taste is just awesome with the delighting and aromatic flavours, tender chicken meat with the creamy and fragrant mozzarella cheese and the garlic sauce. Yummy!
A meat lover's dream, the Wagyu Steak Out (RM36.80) is a must-try! A 100g Wagyu steak, perfectly cooked to medium rare doneness, is complimented beautifully with mozzarella cheese, mustard BBQ sauce, pickled cabbage, caramelised onions, roasted tomato and garden greens. This time, we had it with the sourdough bread, which was excellent too.
It was delicious. Mr Baa Baa is made up of Grilled NZ Lamb + Mustard BBQ + Mozzarella + Pickled Cabbage + Garlic Aioli + Mint Leaves + Cranberry Jam. In terms of the bagels itself, there are 5 types you can choose from – Plain, Seeded, All Sorts. Salt and Pumpkin. I opted for the Pumpkin bagel, just for the heck of it. It was yummy, filling and wholesome. It was like munching on a really fat sandwich. Just to get a bite on the whole thing (all layers in one go), it would entail you to stretch your mouth to the maximum. The blend of flavors was nice. I’d never put lamb and cranberry in the same equation, but it works. The distinct flavor from the meat, mozzarella and mustard sauce was made better with the addition of sweetness from cranberry jam. It sneaks up on you. Loved it.
Red Carbonara Jampong (RM28) Comment: Surprisingly taste quite good as it is a Jampong with a carbonara twist, creamy and rich in flavor, very appetizing and you would actually crave for more after taking a bite. I am satisfied with the amount of pork belly they used for this dish, not forgetting your protein intake.
The Tonkatsu, initially did not receive popularity in Korea as it is too "thick" (thick fried pork cutlet); so, the Korean version is different in that it is thinner and often traditionally served un-sliced.
this place in USJ6, which makes its 手工包 steamed buns by hand, is a gem.
Restoran Wai Kwan offers "古早味"米浆粉 old-style Chee Cheong Fun (with sweet red sauce), rm$4 "蝦米"米浆粉 dried shrimp Chee Cheong Fun, and some steamed fish balls as add-ons.
Popular savory Bao fillings are their 叉烧包 Char Siew Bao, 南乳猪肉包 Nam Yu Chu Yoke Bao, 马来糕 Ma Lai Gao, and 梅菜包Mui Choy Bao.
Given the generous portions and reasonable pricing, it’s no wonder that there are still long queues here. Be prepared to wait about 15-30 minutes to be served (from queuing to place your order, to getting your food). By the time I left, they were down to their last roasted chicken (at about 1 PM). I’ll definitely be back for more… if parking were easier to find.
Here to introduce you guys one of the best places usually I go to get my lunch and sometime, breakfast. Apparently not only me but this chicken rice shop has been a fan favourite among students in Sunway University as it offers economical and delicious meal. No wonder that it usually sold out by 2pm.
The quick flow of customers means you defiantly get your chicken rice warm and fresh and true enough, our pick of Chicken Drumstick Rice (RM 4.50) was decent enough to put aside any debate- it’s agreeable that the meal is worthy of every cent. The chicken alone is tasty enough to take centre stage – smooth and not overcooked; and topped with the spotlight- fried garlic. A generous blanket of fried garlic gives the extra kick and fragrant to the otherwise ordinary plate of chicken rice is their signature if not the key to the very good business. Not stingy with ingredients, a dash of spring onions topped the serving, even though it is totally okay to eliminate it.

The cafe is located inside the Sunway GEO Avenue, Ground Floor. The place is small, but it’s decorated with cute stuff such as pink guitar, colorful balls, and unicorn dolls. So pinky and super cute.
Today's breakfast is the rm$9.50 排骨配雲吞叉燒雲吞麵 Pork Ribs Char Siew Wanton Mee by the popular 江記雲吞麵 Kong Kee Wanton Mee stall. Charsiew today wasn't their normal standard but the Pork Ribs was still not too bad, coupled with 2 pieces of medium size wanton
all tables are definitely at least 4-5 feet apart!
Will be back to try the other variants another time.
虽然 Fat Cat 的价格稍微偏高,但是在 Sunway Geo Avenue 吃普通的中式饭料理动辄都要 RM12-13,相比之下,在这里可以吃到比较有水准有诚意的日式料理,这价格我ok。
While most establishment of this kind (at least with this price range), water is rm$0.55 per glass here at Fat Cat! really 肥猫!
Upon placing my orders, the lady at the counter recommended me to try their soup of the day, potato soup. I'm glad I did because it was delicious! I usually won't order creamy soups like this except for mushroom soup. It was not too thick and the taste was just right. The garlic toast that came with it was delicious too. It was soft, fluffy and tasty. It complemented the soup so well.
