We recently tried a Chinese restaurant menu for a special occasion for two persons. Such events could be a simple birthday celebration, wedding anniversary or business promotion. The $128++ Abalone and Shark’s Fin Lunch Menu ticks all the boxes for an auspicious and delicious meal at Wah Lok restaurant, Singapore.
Welcome the auspicious Year of the Dragon with a selection of opulent experiences at Carlton Hotel Singapore. Embrace the Lunar New Year in elegance with delectable dining options at Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant. Indulge in six meticulously crafted set menus, including the new “Happiness 年年有余” set menu, starting at S$1,348++ for eight persons.
The regular dining room is the area you walk through to get to the Round Room. It is a large rectangular space that looks like any other Chinese restaurant. Not bad, but not as unique as the Round Room.
I don't think anyone is going to want to come near me now, but I'm happy to eat here again.
I don't think it was really forty cloves, but it was a lot, and they were delightfully soft, going nicely with the deliciously salty chicken.
Cosying up in the cast iron casserole with some salad are their meaty frog legs - sautéed with garlic, onions and parsley. These aren't seasonal. I remember seeing them all the time on the menu. They're pretty good.
The special seasonal menu at Prego boasts a variety of decadent truffle-infused creations, and is definitely one of the best places for you to indulge in those highly-prized winter truffles.
Prego at Fairmont Singapore has made quite a name for itself in the last two decades as an authentic Italian restaurant with Chef de Cuisine Antonio Facchinetti at helm.
Italian cuisine has to be one of the warmest and heartiest cuisine I know. It is also one of the more popular cuisine that we enjoy often. For some of the finest Italian cuisine in the city, head over to Prego Italian Cuisine at The Westin Kuala Lumpur.
We like the afternoon tea as we get to sit down throughout the 2 hours since all the items were served.
Just try to stop me.
We had well prepared food and good quality service.
It was a very enjoyable chilling out session once again, this time infected with merry festive vibes.
Overall, I applaud beer-infused dishes created in Five Marbles. It is like a bridge that links the food and beer pairing.
I definitely enjoyed the tasting session and will be back for more.
We've reconciled with our favourites this visit and will be back for more.
Overall, Mikuni is a good Japanese restaurant to impress your date or treat your folks.
food & ambience were great & we had some treasured moments together this evening.
Asia Grand Restaurant is an old restaurant in a new location. This Cantonese restaurant in Singapore has a long history. Previously known as Tsui Hang Village, it was located in the now defunct Hotel Asia on Scotts Road. It was rebranded Asia Grand and subsequently moved to Odeon Towers in the 2000s. At the end of 2022, it made a second move to its present location in Fairmont Hotel.
12 reviews of Trattoria Lafiandra "This seemed like a legitimate Southern Italian trattoria. The food was all fresh and simple. The seafood stew was great and about $12 cheaper than the normal ~$30 it tends to cost elsewhere (e.g. Pasta Brava).…
It is probably one of the best Italian restaurant that we have been in Singapore or perhaps we haven't been to more.
Overall, this place has a nice atmosphere. The service wasn't as bad as what other reviewers had described, perhaps because we had different servers. But the selection and quality of the food was a letdown- better luck next time!
I was surprise to find the spread at Asian Market Cafe @ Fairmont Singapore to be delicious. Though the Indian Bread, both Nan and Roti weren’t up to expectation, the rest was better than expected. I would recommend this buffet at The Fairmont Hotel to readers of NAHMJ

Buddy Hoagies at Rendezvous Hotel offers variety and affordability in a casual and comfortable setting with friendly service
Overall, we all enjoyed this lounge tremendously, and agree that the service is impeccable.
Overall, it was a simple but good dim sum lunch. Two of the three items we tried were excellent.

Utilising the Mastercard 2-for-2 promotion at the Straits Cafe @ Hotel Rendezvous is the best way to enjoy the favourites of the Straits buffet spread.
Overall this is an excellent buffet choice for locals and tourists alike who wants to try the best of Singapore's Peranakan food yet could do with the comfort of some international cuisine and seafood at a good price.
I wasn’t expecting much initially, but Pluseighttwo pleasantly surprised me.
It was quite an interesting experience to indulge in the ambience once in a while instead of the food, as it felt like a mini fan-meet session.
A pity we didn’t have a chance to try out the Pizza, that’s provide us a good reason for revisit.
Overall, I didn’t really see as much of a twist in Ta-da!
Shang Pin Hot Pot is definitely a feasible alternative for us going forward – with its accessible locations at Dhoby Ghaut (Rendezvous Hotel) and by this year end, at Marina Bay (Marina Square) too.
Baja Fresh is not bad at all – pity it isn’t any better than that either.
Looking forward to returning to their beautiful settings and dining in, enjoying the good service and palatable fare, soon again.
I love this place for the beautiful settings, and quality German food at very wallet-friendly prices, and no, this is not a paid review nor invited tasting.
