A very enjoyable and comforting CNY meal with a Taiwanese flair.
Overall, Goldleaf Restaurant offers consistent dishes that's homely and satisfying.
Promising a homely, comforting meal, it's no wonder Goldleaf Restaurant is a draw for many.
Firebake at East Coast Road has launched a refreshed lunch menu and new items.
Our favorite wood-fired bakehouse Firebake has launched a refreshed lunch menu and also more new items to tantalize our taste buds!
Overall, we thought the food at Fibebake was good.
BOP is interesting as their flavours were inspired by nature.
I would definitely suggest getting their aromatic thyme cones with flavours such as Seasalt Houjicha, White Chrysanthemum, Earl Grey Lemongrass, Lychee Raspberry and Basil.
Overall flavour profile of earthy herbal sweet, and balanced in taste. Good!
Traditional might be good, but a modern take on it can be just as pleasing, if not better.
Overall I have enjoyed the new Asian inspired cuisine by Baba Chews. It has kept the food familiar but yet added excitement with new tasty twists, by coming Asian flavours with a western approach.
I have not tried their Peranakan dishes and hopefully will be back to check them out.
I should eat here more often.
328 Katong Laksa in Singapore defeated Gordan Ramsay in the 2013 Hawker Heroes Challenge. It is just that good. This is one of the two best laksa in Singa..
I say 328 Katong Laksa fully deserves the accolades it is getting all these years.
The food's good, but be prepared to fork out some dough for it.
I really like the Mash Avocado Sopes ($20 for 3). I first tried Sopes earlier this year in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.
Comida Mexicana brings you with authentic Mexican food. It is a great place to hangout with friends, and even suitable to host private function/ event.
Empress Place @ LTN Siglap, beef kway teow, foodporn, brian kennett, islifearecipe, the semi-naked chef, the best beef kway teow, siglap restaurant reviews
Mook’s Mookata @ 936 Hawker Siglap. What an addition to the hawker. Our new BFF’s. All EastCoasters get your families in here and try this
936 East Coast Road Food Centre Reviewhttps://islifearecipe.net/Today Hawker Hunting leads me and the family to our ‘local’ hawker in Siglap. Known as LTN or...
I sincerely hope that Mui Lan and her family would be able to keep the business going for many more years to come.
These are some of the best curry puffs you can get your hands on and they were created right here on our little Red Dot!
Their crispy curry puffs are delicious. If you really must have eggs and toast, they have a breakfast set for you too.

It is surprising how the cheaper items are more outstanding at Tomi Sushi - maybe it could have been our choices but I would return for the oysters and udon.
We like Tomi Sushi Katong V and it would seem that many others like it too. It would be advisable to make a reservation if you are thinking of dining there.
Can’t call it Joe’s anymore – Sin Hoi Sai Eating House it is from now on
Sin Hoi Eating House @ East Coast Road is a favourite of the Kennett’s - amazing food on East Coast. It’s family, it’s so reasonable, it’s delicious.
Dinner at Sin Hoi Sai Eating House was a simple affair at reasonable prices. Eating by the roadside is not glamourous and the utensils and plating reiterate the point.
Stepping into Chin Mee Chin brings this nostalgic feeling—from the green floor tiles and marble round tables to the way the aunties shout across the room with your orders
This is where you can get a taste of the old-styled coffee and bakes, and to take a step down the memory lane.
Chin Mee Chin is another good place to introduce or bring your overseas friends when they are here in Singapore as it give them a good feel how simple traditional breakfast in Singapore can be.
I would recommend their pre-mixed Chaoniu dipping sauce which complements the tender beef excellently.
The owner is very passionate about the food and has done a lot of work to meticulously source the beef but most impressive is his insistence on pounding the beef by hand to make beef balls!
Overall, it was nice to found Teochew Beef Hotpot in Singapore. For those who never been to Shantou, this will be a good experience.
Beach Road Prawn Mee serves up an amazing bowl of prawn noodles – the broth was robust, the prawns were crunchy, and the pork ribs were super tender.
Having ordered the basic Prawn Mee, the broth was tasty and fragrant added with fried shallot oil.
The ingredients were fine, and none of it was overdone, but it just wasn't so good that I'd go out of my way to get it again.
I’ll definitely be back, and I’ll also utilise my Entertainer App 1-for-1 vouchers. Couldn’t use them for this visit because it was a public holiday.
Once again, I can count on the team at Strong Flour for another hearty homecooked meal - you have no idea how leaving the dinner table feeling so satisfied sets the tone for the rest of the night.
Most defining quality of their artichoke and scallop risotto was the anchovy flavour. Nice. Also a special for this weekend.
The Wild Seabass was perfectly grilled, soft and flaky when it is served.
Been looking for a decent Moroccan restaurant in Singapore but can’t find one? Look no further than La Fez Cafe @ Siglap
La Fez Café & Bakery is definitely an exciting addition to the growing list of cafes in the east of Singapore.
The free-flow cuts include a great variety of beef, such as ribeye, striploin, rump and grilled beef shabu.
I would recommend a visit just for the steaks though.
It felt like Carvers and Co with brighter lightings and still very cramped dining conditions.
I wouldn't mind going to Rakuya occasionally for a slightly different Japanese meal but i guess the search continues for our staple Japanese meal spot in East Coast.
The team of chefs really do a good job in blending flavours together, and I will definitely make a return to Rakuya on my own budget.
Patron Rakuya with an open mind. Food served is innovative and bold. They don’t whipped classic Japanese dishes but borderless items with Japanese cooking techniques.
Jin Yu Man Tang Dessert is taking a good step forward. By providing a comfortable setting to enjoy affordable and classic Chinese desserts, they are setting the groundwork for a greater appreciation for Chinese desserts.
Cosy place for affordable desserts.
a space that would be well-appreciated in the neighbourhood it is in.
Korean restaurant Yun Ga highly recommended for families, check out the Yun Ga Special BBQ Set Menu, be sure to book a table as it’s busy....
Yun Ga is a nice comfortable spot in the East for affordable Korean food.
