K-Wing might be an okay place to drink at LaLaport Mall but stay away from their food. This is a poor man’s K-Fry.
K-Wing might be an okay place to drink at LaLaport Mall but stay away from their food. This place really puts into perspective how good K-Fry is. The chicken at K-Wing is poor quality, dry and full of inedible cartilage. Several items were out of stock, and the servers had trouble taking our alternate orders. This entire restaurant, from the cook to the wait staff, had the bumbling quality of people who had no idea what they were doing. I’m never coming here again, even if reviews say that the food and service have improved.
It was a Mediterranean-style Mother’s Day celebration with Mom. The venue of choice was Marinero, a newly opened restaurant specialising in Mediterranean fare at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC).
The highlight for lunch was the Morrocan Lamb shank – hearty, flavourful meat that was fall off tender. Went beautifully with the healthier apricot couscous carb. There’s also a briyani rice option.
I can’t wait to visit Japan again for their amazing food but for now, Matcha Eight is the place for me for Japanese green tea ice cream. Remember, these are artisan ice cream and created by Michelin-starred Master Chef from Kyoto.
[Muslim-friend] Matcha Eight at LaLaport, Bukit Bintang City Centre serves Japanese tea ice cream made with the best tea powder from Kyoto.
If you love milk tea and shaved ice, we highly recommend the Gold Oolong Kakigori here.
All in all, I think Shabu-Yo is a great option for those looking for fresh food at a relatively affordable price. Selection wise, I don’t think they have a lot of items as compared to, say, places like WagyuMore, but what they do have is of excellent quality.
LaLaPop has a very tempting and innovative menu, but next time I will stick to the non-alcoholic flavours. I love sucking down all sorts of spirits as much as the next drunkard, but even I couldn’t fully get into the taste of the alcoholic ice cream. I tried a sample of the Iced Sicilian and the BBB, and I was not keen to eat an entire scoop. The Notti flavours just seem gimmicky and don’t taste as good as regular ice cream.
Taste by Bert had absolutely nothing to recommend it, so with high prices, terrible food, pushy staff and a dubious environmental impact, I strongly suggest going elsewhere.
What’s On Tap is for serious coffee drinkers who can appreciate quality beans and a high caffeine quotient. If you like sugary coffees or iced drinks, this is not the place for you. Many of the non-coffee drinks are seriously boring. The colourful lattes look pretty, but their taste is so bland. We even ordered their Valhrona Chocolate drink later, and it was disappointing. Stick to ordering the coffee at LaLaport Mall’s What’s On Tap.
Puchi Marry turned out to be quite a nice place to spend time, especially for my little one. I wonder if later they will bring in food options.
James and his team have done it again. Shin’Labo serves delicious food that spares no expense. Dishes are well designed, thought of, executed and paced perfectly to facilitate a seamless flow from course to course and dish to dish. Sure, dining at Shin’Labo falls on the pricier spectrum of the KL dining scene, but what you get for your money is well worth the asking price, in my opinion.
[Muslim-friendly] If you’re checking out Matcha Eight at LaLaport - we suggest having some coffee next door at Monét as well.
Service is slow, food is nice, price is above average. Value for money item would be Fried Chicken and Curry Rice. Cheese cake with cream is pretty good.
Overall, the high cost of the meal (RM268 for 2.5 diners) wasn’t matched by the quality of food, so I don’t think I am likely to return in the near future. On the other hand, if I could get away with just having three courses of dessert, I might change my mind.
YURI / Matcha 6th Avenue Cheesecake! Priced at RM21, this is exclusively made available at The Tokyo Restaurant, Isetan The Japan Store, Lot 10. We personally prefer this to the original now as it has the right balance of sweetness together with the matcha. So velvety smooth and tasty!
Thanks to the friendly staff for recommending this Sup Ekor. So good! A hearty portion of tummy-warming, flavourful oxtail broth, richly seasoned with a bouquet of house spices, topped with celery cress and crispy shallot.
Reasons to visit Shook! The Starhill Dining: stylish new digs; menu catering to a variety of tastes; Dancing Prawns; grill menu; cocktails from The Alchemy; although wine by the glass is not particularly impressive their vertical collection of Chateau Mouton Rothschild dating back to the 1940s is worth at least a little envy.
The comprehensive spread of authentic Malay dishes includes all-time favourites such as Rendang Daging ‘Tok’, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Nasi Briyani, Sup Ekor and Bubur Lambuk
This place offer decent walnut and black sesame paste, most places taste like some factory made powdery taste. They did put some effort to make some dessert art for you.
I have high hopes on this Steamed Egg Custard @ RM 3.50.. However it was quite a let down in both taste and texture.
♥Verdict: Although the choices are quite limited but Restoran Ruby still is a decent place for Tong Sui especially if you’re a fan of Tong Sui in paste form like these.

看来吃过庸记的牛腩面后,我的味蕾又再次被宠坏了。
Taste:9/10(Delicious. Satisfied with the meals here. So far they seems to serve the best beef noodles in KL. Portion were good. I tried both version of soup and dry beef noodles and found that dry version taste better. Also their dry version with peanuts which makes the noodles taste better. The meat is soft. The tendon is good and normal beef noodles bowl came with beef balls & tripes. I order extra honeycomb which is very tender and taste good in beef broth. You also have option to add crispy fish skin for tastier option)
The tendons were so good and soft. Good till the last morsel.

Another popular item at Lai Ching Yuen is the Claypot Pork Belly With Salted Fish, where pork belly is cooked in high heat with ginger, a generous amount of scallions and red onion for a bit of texture. The pork belly slices were juicy and came with enough fat for flavour. Since it was cooked with salted fish, this dish can be a bit one-dimensional in terms flavour—salty, therefore it is best to tone down the saltiness by pairing it with a bowl of white rice.
Lai Ching Yuen is one of the very few top notch Cantonese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur that serves high quality all-you-can-eat dim sum. With over 50 types of handcrafted delights and an affordable price tag of RM74 per pax, Lai Ching Yuen’s ala-carte all-you-can-eat dim sum is a steal.
The Signature Hokkien Mee, 14.20 ringgit was delicious. It was packed with pork meat and lard. Literally filled with it and real greasy – the criterias to a good hokkien mee, lol. Yum Yum!
精明消费的我必选猪扒蛋饭,因只需加RM1就附上一杯香浓顺滑且不涩的澳门奶茶,好满足!
If this is a café, you probably pays slightly more for that but food quality wise differs. This is probably the best pork noodles in the city right and correct us if we are wrong.
This is definitely one of the best pork noodles places in KL. During this time, please stay at home first, beat the COVID-19 curve, take care and be safe. Will visit Restoran Win Heng Seng Imbi Famous Pork Noodles once the MCO 2.0 (movement control order 2.0) is over!
overall plate of Charsiew noodle!
