Oh I tried their Mocha too. Coffee is not bad.
Chip Bee Gardens Cafes - Overview of f & b outlets near Holland Village MRT
Really nice pastries, innovative, buttery and done to just the right texture.
Keong Saik Bakery Holland Village review, coffee and cake break at new cafe at Chip Bee Gardens with pictures of menu with prices, coffee and pastries
The robusta black kopi was potent and punchy, yet somewhat light, floral and refined. The sor hei, eaten as a takeaway and without heating up, was quite normal and even a bit stodgy, although you could still taste the softness inside and crispy layers outside.
Pretty flavourful moist meat in a savoury package of umami and some sweetness from those onions.
not particularly hot on this place myself, but it is doable to come once in a while. in fact this my first time here!
Da Paolo Pizza Bar is one of the more enduring tenants of the Chip Bee Gardens side of the Holland Village enclave. A casual restaurant specialising in pizza, it's part of the Da Paolo Group of dining concepts.
Really mild and milky latte, almost a bit characterless.
Arabica’s Cafe Latte had a pleasantly bitter aftertaste that was soothed by the mellow creaminess of the milk.
Not to the extent of making a trip to Holland Village for the coffee. Regardless, it is still a decent coffee spot as an alternative to Tiong Bahru Bakery.
I remember having Original Sin at least 10 or 15 years ago when I was not very keen on vegetarian food and my friend was trying to convince me that vegetarian food could be as tasty as non-vegetarian options
Overall, the meal at Madrinaa was slightly lacklustre and nothing too outstanding to make an impression. The service was attentive as we were the only ones in the restaurant during lunch. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt that their pizza might be the better menu since that is the speciality as per their website
Since it is located on the quieter side of Holland Village, it will be an ideal place for gathering and catching up with friends.
Sunday Folks and % Arabica : Waffles and Coffee at Holland Village Singapore
The cake was moist and perfumed with lemon zest, making for a wonderful afternoon treat.
I bet you’ll struggle to decide on the amount that you should give, like we did.
Portion on the other hand was small and taste as an overall was mediocre.
I thought this was a good cheeseburger this time round, moist and smoky, with the sourness of the pickles and the slightly tart sauce coming through. Satisfying.

Fried chicken had a nice crisp turmeric batter that sealed in the juices in the meat.
Checking out New Lucky Claypot Rice 新鸿运瓦煲饭which was listed in the Michelin guide. The chicken claypot rice was cooked to order, thus there was a long wait.
New Lucky Claypot Rice at Holland Village serves a mean claypot, but avoid the soups.
The dining frenzy passed quickly and everything quietened down around 8pm when the wave of customers finished their dinner.
243 Holland Avenue, Singapore 278977, open Mon to Sun 11am to 2:30pm, 5:30 to 9:30pm
Their grilled fishes were quite nicely done and there's a kaisen chahan that was unexpectedly peppery. The latter wasn't a bad thing.
Margaret Drive Sin Kee Chicken Rice, one of the top chicken rice stalls from the Hawkers.
The rice was I thought the gold standard of chicken rice – moist, oily, flavourful and fragrant with chicken stock and oil, garlic, onions and lemongrass etc.
Sin Kee is a well-known name among chicken rice stalls in Singapore, mainly serving poached chicken rice Cantonese-style.
Food at Tai Cheong Bakery is classic Hong Kong tea house cuisine, focusing on snack, desserts, and light bites.
Order this to try as we saw most of the table ordering it! Turn out it was good. I can taste the truffle in every bite and the cheese was well spreaded.
Overall, Tai Cheong Bakery definitely served the comfort food that the Hong Kongers have on daily basis. It is good, but don't expect extraordinary stuff. We'll definitely make a return visit, just not very keen on spending too much time lining up. Cheers!!
The miso bowl looked a deeper brown than the regular bowl.
Overall, a decent and interesting bowls. I think there were some aspects that lowered the dining experience.
You can taste that his duck ramen is not merely by putting different components together but each process from the soup, duck and noodle is carefully thought through and probably many months of taste test until the right formula is obtained.
The homeliness of the cuisine was felt through the dish. Though the price may be considered pricey, their portion made justice to what we were paying for. It is hardly that we come across a good authentic Italian place like this. I don't mind looking into other items in the menu if I'm back here again.
The ribeye steak with red wine sauce turned out as well as the fish. Together with the cod, it was an enjoyable western food takeaway lunch. A change from the bentos and zi char food that we tend to gravitate towards.
The lasagne was good but nothing to rave about. The taste was authentic but we think it could have done better with more meat. We would definitely try the 1-for-1 La Nonna takeaway promotion again. It is a good deal if you are looking for unpretentious Italian fare at reasonable prices. Maybe next time round we would order the La Nonna pizza again but try another pasta.
Monki 台灣小吃部 was previously at Holland Village and they have relocated to The Star Vista. Perhaps due to the restrictions in travelling, the urge and the constant search for Taiwanese Food seem unstoppable.
Very complex, tasty, moist and generous braised meat, with a strong sweet flavour. 肥瘦参半的肉燥. Nice bowl.
While this place serves up a mean plate of lu rou fan, its portion would have me think twice about coming back for it. That being said, the snowflake desserts are worth trying.
So apparently this is a well-known stall from Holland Close, but I had never heard of them until I came across a pop-up of theirs next to Marina Bay Sands today.
If Holland Close is out of the way for you, their e-commerce stall is still up and running, with exclusive dishes such as Original Tom Yum Collagen Soup for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
really good! hum fresh sweet & very clean.
The fish was quite fresh, tasty and creamy. Not bad.
If there are not further constrains, the restaurants can consider selling some hot side dishes.
Umi Nami proved to be a simple, no-frills Japanese eatery. Their prices are low, but so was their generosity.
