I'd say good combinations, although a little salty as expected but tasty, appetizing, and satisfying meal.
Food today: 7 / 10 👍👍😋😋
This is the 8th visit to Milligram since October 27, and some days like today, the Café is almost empty before 12pm and then empty again after 2pm.
The rm$7 "豬扒冷米粉 Pork Chop cold noodles" Vietnamese style, is like a Super-Charged Power bowl of Salad.
the teh tarik and kopi are both definitely worth sampling!
"猪小弟の美食 Pig Brother House" offers Pork chop rice or noodles from rm$8 to rm$9.90.
美茶餐室 Restoran Mayang Jaya" is still to sample the 叉燒雲吞麵 Charsiew Wanton Mee
Was here just 3 months ago, and back for the Charsiew Wantan Mee again; perhaps should have sampled the Chicken Feet or Curry Chicken Wantan Mee; next time!
SS26's 美茶餐室 Restoran Mayang Jaya was definitely a good find this morning!
One offers Sarawak noodles and this one called "仁丹(杰)海鮮粉和潮州粥" offering seafood noodle and porridge!
Worth sampling next visit maybe the seafood noodle, also available is a road side malay nasi lemak stall (just outside the kopitiam), so can tapao and eat at the kopitiam.
Siew yok rice is not really crispy at all. The siew yok is slightly oily and the skin of the siew yok is not crispy. Taste: 2/5 Price: RM 4.50
The food here is quite decent. As for the BKT, its those light version but the broth was rich in flavor. I did feel a little thirsty after dinner but it was tolerable(or acceptable) compared to some other places. Overall, a family restaurant and better yet, it's near my in-law's place. :)
Sang Kut Bak Kut Teh which normally requires 45 minutes to cook and I guess Ung has made the prior arrangement for this dish. I enjoyed the soup very much.
Daddy suggested Restaurant New Cheow Sang (in Taman Mayang Jaya, nearby the old Lim Kok Weng building). Name sounds familiar to you die-hard BKT addicts? Well, from what I understand, it's actually an extension of Restaurant Cheow Sang (in SS2). Either that or one of the siblings had a disagreement with another sibling and decided to open a rival shop, with the similiar name, selling the similiar food. Well, if that's the case, I wouldn't be surprise, coz it happens ever so often. Or perhaps, the old restaurant was simply closed and shifted to here? I am not so sure myself.
Taste is a very personal thing, but I dare say The Roulade Rasa Sayang from Elevete Pattiserie should appeal to most people. A light and fresh pandan sponge roll layered with swiss meringue coconut buttercream and gula Melaka syrup, reminiscent of the traditional ondeh-ondeh, this was one of my fav from the tasting platter
Today's breakfast of "印度蛋煎餅 Roti Telur" is above average, not too oily nor dry but too bad without sambal and why isn't there dhal available.
Nice little cozy Cafe in the residential area of Mayang Jaya (PJ SS26), and ample MPSJ parking after 5pm within walking distance to the Cafe.
Good Flavors Restaurant Kopitiam is a location to remember for in mornings when you need some Porkilicious breakfast.
9 stalls offers quite a good mixed of chinese hawker foods
For breakfast, ordered the "印度蛋煎餅 Roti Telur Bawang" which is a bit on the sweet side; perhaps make-to-order with "more hangus" might taste better, it did came with a nice thick dhal and super spicy sambal.
The Vegetarian eatery is also available to serve vegetarian dishes including a variety of noodle. Not just vegetarian food but the shop also a market of raw vegetables.
The char siew was delicious. I liked that it came in thick pieces, each piece had a generous amount of meat to it. The meat to fat ratio was good. Outer part was crisp and the inner part of the meat was tender and moist. You’d be able to taste the sweetness as well as the charcoal aftertaste.
Char Siew Wan Tan Mee (big), 9.50 ringgit. Between the noodles and the rice, I thought the noodles were better. It was gooood, delicious. The noodles here are slightly thinner than usual, springy. The char siew was tender and juicy, provided the noodles with a lil sweetness. It was good, I’d give this dish a go again.
4-Star (out of 5). Famous Seremban Favourites have one of the best char siew that I have ever tasted. Nice contrast of light crisp and juicy soft textures. Delicate, perfect balance of savoury, sweet and natural porky flavours. This is the first time that I've ever used the "P" word to describe food in my blog.
Be prepared to wait for at least 15 minutes to 20 minutes during lunch time as the restaurant will be very packed. You might even have a hard time catching a staff to take your order or paying for your food!
Next, curry gravy. Their staff will bring the curry container and you will be spoiled with choices, as they have chicken curry, fish curry, crab curry and salted fish curry. Our favorite, will be fish and crab curry. But why limit ourselves, the best we would say, little scoop of everything to made it a curry combo (haha), Yummy !!!
We enjoyed the BLR here for its good offering of veggies and curries. We recommend the fried fish, mutton varuval and ikan bilis sambal.
The Chicken Varuval was really good. I specifically requested for chicken breast because I’d rather forego the bones and they delivered. The ‘Small’ option came with 4 meaty, juicy, flavorful chicken meat. It was an awesome addition to the banana leaf rice. The fried fish too, was tender and flavorful. Overall, a good experience. I’d be back for more. Burp!
Our lunch at Yilo Restaurant & Bar was a satisfying one. The Moonlight Hor Fun and Huo Bao Pork Slice dishes stood out with their delicious flavors. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service added to the experience, making Yilo a place worth revisiting.
Jiang Nan Style Noodles cooked in Cantonese Style with egg soup sauce mixed into seafood such as prawns, cuttlefish, vegetables and mushroom loaded with the noodles where Malaysian love this dishes and one of the popular and signature dishes for Hot Plate Noodle. The serving size should be enough for 2-3 person who share this dishes. Yummy!
The SS23 branch offers 12 high seat bat stools facing bar counter but now closed and 15 "4-seater" tables with CMCO only 11 tables with 2 customer max/table
What do We Like about B & Best Restaurant? -FRESH seafoods. The oysters were so fresh, tasty and easy on the pocket -The service was good
Overall, we would rate B & Best as “above average” in our books when it comes to fish noodles. However, the fried fish cake here is still exceptionally good – and warrants an order if you’re visiting!
Located in SS4, "潮州魚丸海鮮麵粥家 Restoran B & Best" offers seafood noodles as early as 7:30am.
A must-visit café if you’re looking for a cool place to take pictures with your friends and also if you’re a fan of waffles, cakes, and coffee! This is also a great place for you if you are looking for a comfortable environment with relaxing music to calm your mind!
This is definitely one Cafe I can be at as an alternative to Co-Working spaces.
That cake though …. da bomb!! I mean, it sure was finger licking good. If you are a fan of ‘pandan’ – you’d certainly love this. Before the cake even reaches your table, you would be able to smell the tempting, distinct aroma of the pandan. Then, when it finally arrives at your table, digging into it and savoring it… yuuuuuummmmmm. I was instantly in love. The taste of ‘Gula Melaka” was evident too. Unlike cakes at most other cafes, whereby the gula melaka is often just a sprinkle/drizzle on the top, here, it comes with a generous layer. The cake itself, over all, was soft and moist. The grated coconut on the top was an excellent addition as it provided a difference in texture. I’d certainly give this cake a go again.
We ordered two sets of ‘eggs on toast’, yes two same set I can’t remember why, different toast though. To be frank I can’t remember the taste at the point of writing this, it was just usual toast with rockets and egg. Nothing more I can describe. Will let the pictures tell the taste.
Fresh loaves slices served with dainty Japanese butter, pepper and sea salt. Quite interesting as the Japanese butter renders a rather subtle taste compared to my usual fave French butter.
Widely known for its sourdough and croissant, other bakeries such as baguette, kanelbullar, canele and cakes are also available. They are baked freshly every day, basically you could get all sort of carbs and happiness in the quiet neighbourhood of Taman Rasa Sayang at Petaling Jaya.
能在这么舒适的环境之下,吃上一餐经济的午餐,我觉得这是超值了~趁着新餐单还未下架,我要多来几次才行。
氛围和食物都有达标
For those who love surprise, I would highly recommend No Idea.
All of the hawkers stalls are now re-positioned in an "island" inside the kopitiam, and as usual no outdoor seating are allowed yet as of today.
The prawn based soup of this hawker stall was thicker, and the side chili sauce was also good. Wished thick black coffee was stronger but good enough to kick start the day!
While driving out of SS24 after breakfast, noticed a 大山脚 Bukit Mertajam Pork Noodle shop along SS24/8 across the road from the SS24 Market, maybe I will go for later this week.
