Gravy was sufficiently thick and creamy, packed with fragrance. Flavour was good and decent. What a comforting bowl of local flavour!
80 Circuit Road Market & Food Centre - I ever visited once more than ten years ago but left without any food for an early dinner as it serve...
After reading so many reviews about Hup Hup, I decided to order their mee siam for my mum when my group buy offered Hup Hup for lunch. A familiar name in many online foodie’s list as top 10 m…
Recommended by ieatishootipost. 汤清甜而富有浓鲜肉味、虾甜而有弹性、肉也鲜甜,嫩而腌制够味。一碗中高以上的虾面汤。Very drinkable, light yet sweet, thick and umami soup, worth going back for.
Don Don Prawn Noodles definitely deserves more credit for their fresh ingredients and flavours; perhaps the slightly higher price points are a bit daunting to some but they do serve up yummy bowls of noodles so it’s worth a go!
The egg fragrance was also not well spread out and there was hardly any crispy bits. The chilli sauce was quite perky and piquant though, and I used it liberally to perk up the flavour. All these perhaps because this was dapao.
This is so good, definitely amongst one of the best in Singapore.
Fishball Minced Meat Noodle at Circuit Road Food Centre is its interesting name.
89 Carrot Cake, a hawker stall in Circuit Road, serves handmade carrot cake that is expertly fried and generously infused with tradition.
The caramelised charred bits together with the tangy spicy chilli sauce made it resemble like an oyster omelette but with the bite of chunks of carrot cake.
Circuit Road is a sleepy estate and Lam Bee Chicken Rice is a gem here. It is not commercialised like other big chicken rice brands, which adds to its charm as well.
I could actually taste the fragrance and juiciness of the chicken. I do not think much of the chilli, it just did not taste too special to be memorable.
I will be back for the chicken rice and soup for sure!
Nestled amongst the HDBs in MacPherson, Wishes Cafe offers creamy gelatos and highly Instagrammable sweet treats we know we definitely will come back for!
Quite an interesting find in the heartlands, but perhaps I WISH for more creative dessert selection and flavours.
One thing is for sure, Omar’s Halal Thai Beef Noodles is serving up really high quality beef noodles and Thai food.
If a Muslim friend asks me where to get Thai food, this Circuit Road stall will be near the top of my list.
NanXing Claypot Rice is conveniently located within Circuit Road Market & Food Centre, close to both the Mattar and Macpherson MRT stations. It is the earliest and oldest claypot rice shop at Circuit Road Food Centre.
I can foresee myself bringing my family here to try the other dishes Hippo Family Restaurant has to offer. The food is good and I don’t have to worry about burning a hole in my pocket!
For those in the area looking for a great pick-me-up or a satisfying brunch meal, do drop by Prodigal Café!
Prodigal Cafe may be a little hard to locate, but the affordable food options are well worth the search.
A place in the neighbourhood, for the neighbourhood, serving simple and hearty food done well; Prodigal Cafe is a place that cafe-goers should add to the list of places to check out.
I've never been to Circuit Road Hawker Centre before, but it's an old school place in an eccentric linear-shaped orientation.
Yi Xuan Handmade Banmian Eating House offers a vast selection of banmian dishes that cater to all tastes and preferences. Whether you prefer dry or soup-based noodles, you'll find something to tickle your taste buds. The extensive menu includes options with various ingredients and flavor profiles, ensuring there's something for everyone. They have the usual prawn, sour & spicy, and tomyum, and also have something special like Sichuan veg pork and hot & spicy (mala). Besides this, they have fish ball noodles and fish soup as well. They also open until quite late at night so supper here would be great too.
The CKT is definitely different. Not oily or greasy, and dare I say it, maybe even a little healthy?
This Uncle is known to be the "dancing char kway teow man" as he will start dancing especially when there are massive orders lining up.
Victor Veggie is definitely a cut above the rest in terms of making mock meat taste real.
Ex-Mikuni chef turned hawker sells delicious Japanese Donburis in MacPherson coffee shop with his wife. Read more.
This delightful carrot cake fusion is undoubtedly one of the better ones I’ve had and their OG renditions are nothing to sneeze at either. It’s also just a short walk away from MacPherson MRT, which makes it impossible to not visit!
鲜甜. The fresh meaty flavour was quite apparent in the bowl, although I thought some garlic and chilli would add more kick. The noodles were of a good texture, a bit more soft than qq. The meatballs were quite fresh and tasty, while the dumplings were more wanton skin than meat. The soup had a bit more alkaline noodle flavour than meat flavour halfway through. Overall I think more kick required.
We decided to drop by when happened to be in the vicinity. Mr Tan Poh Chye, 65, was there, he used to run Tian Nan Xing Minced Pork Noodle, ...
Take out the char siew and it’s a nice bowl of Wanton Mee.
So, if you’re looking for a delicious Indian Muslim Karipap with both classic and unique flavours, head down to Isha Curry Puff. A tip would be to call to reserve some in advance as the curry puffs sell out fast.
Their Lor Mee is different, it has an old-school taste that you hardly come across these days and it tasted good too.
