Restoran Sri Melur Jaya has been serving Roti Canai since 1995, and way back in 2014, their SS19 branch was voted as the Best Roti Canai Joint in the Klang Valley, as voted by the public for The Star People’s Food Awards.
The usually packed Sri Melur at USJ 17 looks eerie today with chairs all stacked-up to avoid customers sitting down.
Sri Melur Jaya (USJ17) still serves a good Dhal with Sambal that goes with the Indian Roties! Roti Kosong was ok but Vadai with Chudney was exceptional for my taste.
This is a place that I always come time and time again, either with friends or family or at times just on my own.
If you like "butter and sweet" variant of Roti Canai, then the Roti Boom is the answer, but it is definitely oiler than the Roti Canai!
