Dessert was an olive oil cake flavoured with citrus and rosemary. Not bad. Rather small though. Nice with the cream.
At Summer Hill, the Roasted Chicken ($25 for half, $45 for whole) is presented in a more modest, down-to-earth manner, but still absolutely scrumptious.
It is an ok-good meal but it isn’t as mindblowing as what others have reported and I won’t travel more than 20 minutes for it.
Overall, lunch at the new Summer Hill Bistro at Sunset Way was mostly positive.
Summer Hill is a quaint bistro helmed by the former head chef of Cocotte, Anthony Yeoh. I like the large alfresco dining area, and soft French tunes playing in the background.
The French bistro also offers private meal services soon that can cater from two to 12 pax so you can host dinner parties at home without the mess.
A place run by people who are serious about the food, Summer Hill is indeed a hidden gem that is waiting to be discovered in the Sunset Way neighbourhood that is worth making a special trip for. We wish the folks behind Summer Hill on the best in what has to come!
