I wouldn't say no to this comfort bowl of childhood favourite. They are opened daily 9.30am to 5pm but closed on Wednesday. I bet you will feel the same that the queue is worth waiting for!
Someone had warned me :“don’t bother to try the sungei road laksa as the portion is really small nowadays and standard isn’t as great as bef...
Hawker food with long history is hard to come by in Singapore. If you have not yet tried Sungei Road Laksa, it is worth the trip to Jalan Besar for a taste of how Laksa is prepared and served in the past. I left feeling very satisfied.
claypot rice very flavourful..mee sua was good too..
All in all a great meal and gathering at One Bowl Restaurant!
Overall, One Bowl Restaurant and Bar sure set a standard for the One Bowl Singaporean Cuisine.
The 75-year-old restaurant, Mavalli Tiffin Rooms is an icon of Bangalorean culture due to its huge popularity and authentic taste of South Indian Food.
The quality of food is consistent.
My overall rating for this restaurant is 4 out of 5 stars
I think I will be heading back again pretty soon for their great nasi padang.
There is so much variety there we will have to eat there many times to try the many other interesting dishes.
After all, as with tapas or dim sum, each dish is not meant to be self contained. They are not paintings of their own but swathes of colour, each vivid but only making sense together. Or at least I think so.
Serves Fuzhou cuisine, which is not common in Singapore. Efficient service. Limited seats. Can get crowded during meal times
The noodles dishes at Seow Choon Hua Restaurant were simple comfort food which were delicious and enjoyable.
Foo Chow Fishballs are different in that they are stuffed with minced pork. It is authentic, with a big heavy fish paste engulfing minced pork flavoured just like times of old.
Trust me, one Selera's goreng pisang will never be enough. Do yourself a favor and get a few more to indulge in.
Chicken rice and duck rice are served in the morning which I heard is rather good. Tze char menu is also available from lunch onwards.
Meat was reasonably tender. The duck skin was a little tough at parts, but the fried taste made up for it.
If you do visit, suggest the first 4 dishes and also many other tables had crab dishes on them, so might be good try too!
It was a delicious dinner and the service was superb.
To me, Wing Seong reminds me of the family dinners I usually have with my family. The simple zhi char style is non-costly and heartwarming. If you're near bugis area, why not drop by and give the authentic cantonese cuisine a try?
One of the reasons is the ambience, I think, it’s a barefoot restaurant; you have to leave your shoes at the entrance of the stairs, and walk up to the second floor (so don’t wear your expensive shoes, wait kanna stolen).
Overall another great dinner with Eve and MN. The company was great and so were the food. We all come to a conclusion that the meat dishes here are more worth trying than their seafood.
Food at ABC Nasi Kandar Restaurant is focused on Malay and Indian cuisines, specialising in Nasi Kandar, Tandoori dishes, and curries. Taste and quality is, more often than not, above average and consistent, with few missteps.
Ambience at ABC Nasi Kandar Restaurant is modern functional.
Kampong Glam Cafe is a family-run business serving authentic Malay cuisine at an affordable price. After retiring from professional football, Mr. Bashir Khan has dedicated himself to his business, and to developing the Kampong Gelam community.
The mutton curry in the little styrofoam bowl was nice, I like it. That yellow lump was goat fat
If you like mutton, I would recommend you to go for the mutton briyani instead of the chicken briyani.
We had the Foie Gras Truffle Yakiniku Don. It was pretty good.
Overall, the donburi here is just amazing. The ingredients are of good quality, fresh and generous. Definitely worth a visit and soaks up the atmosphere. Cheers!!
Warm up your tummy with the rich flavours of Laksa House’s claypot laksa dishes! We also recommend their baked scallops. Read more.
Recommended by Masterchef Singapore Judge Chef Bjorn Shen, La Porpo serves delicious ayam goreng with fiery sambals. Read more.
This briyani meal could be a messy affair, so be sure to head down with friends whom you’re comfortable with.
Dining at Nasi Lemak Kukus is quite an unique experience.
It’s a great place to sit back and enjoy interesting poke bowls, high quality coffee, as well as the relaxing ambience.
BE Here Cafe is at level two inside Golden Wall Centre which is accessible only by lifts.
