I ordered my meal from the Light Bites section and the most suitable item was Chicken Karaage. It's not exactly ideal though since fried chicken is always coated with flour. The chicken was fried to perfection, the batter was light and crispy and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The crispy fried kaffir lime leaves added another dimension to the flavor and aroma.
At first mum thought of having The Really Big Breakfast that she always sees on my blog. But she changed her mind because it was late in the day and she wanted to make sure that she had stomach space for dinner. So mum copied my order and had the Grilled Chicken Salad.
I went to The Red Kettle and had the Pomegranate Smoked Salmon Salad. It was a very pretty salad, so colorful! This salad contains smoked salmon, pomegranate, quinoa, avocado, chickpeas, lava egg, pickled blueberries, almonds, chia seeds, orange, grilled broccoli, mesclun greens and ponzu dressing. I also noted ulam raja leaves. The ponzu dressing - very sorry, I did not like it. It was so so sweet. So I used very little of it. And the smoked salmon was very very salty, even when eaten with the other ingredients. So no more of this salad for me, I will stick to the Grilled Chicken Salad.

Miso, 17 ringgit This was yummmmmm ๐ Having Miso was like having a Magnum ice cream. There is the usual Paddle Pop, Cornetto and then โฆ there is Magnum. Yea, this was like having a Magnum.
So there you go, finally I fixed my mind on La Vie En Rose (MYR 17) despite I really wish to have another morsel along, but then worried canโt finish it as the tummy had just been carbo-loaded 5 minutes ago. A dainty rhapsody composed on the notes of lychee, raspberry rose chantilly, pastry cream, raspberry jam and sable breton. Indeed very catchy and boldly alluring especially with that red petal crowning on top and pate a choux dough filled up with velvet custard.
Lavish Fusion Bakery is located at a heritage shop along the bustling Victoria Street and is ornamented with pink walls, plants, and beautiful mural art which depict the elements of strong nature, tropical and beach vibes.
But on the other hand, Wild Berries Lemonade captured our heart with its amazing taste. A taste featuring the sour and sweetness that triggers the senses in unexpected ways, YUM!! Wild Berries Lemonade @ RM 17.20
Roasted chicken Green Curry at about MYR 28.5 where the green curry gravy is served in the very small glass container shown ini the photo.
When we arrived at the place, almost half of the tables were occupied and we managed to get a big table near the entrance with a huge fan (it's a hot day). Thankful for that. This place is famous for its prawns. The price is also pretty reasonable.
I won't say that this is the place that is mostly visited by the locals to get their Siew Pow fix. In fact, there are many small bakeries in Seremban that is famous for this. However, these are the guys that have put Seremban on the national food map in the early 1990's and I thought that due respect had to be given to these guys. Today, this is more of a tourist stop but still, their Siew Pow's are pretty good. Not to say the best in Seremban as I had previously mentioned, nevertheless still good and value for money. Worth a stop if you have never taste Seremban Siew Pow's before.
Anyway, bought Chicken Siew Bao and Pork Siew Bao from there and ate it on the spot since itโs still freshly baked and hot. They both tasted very yummy. Itโs not so awesome when itโs cold so I recommend that if you can, eat it right away, either way, heat it when you got back home.
I like the pastries and cake here, indeed a nice neighbourhood cafe/bakery.
The small little Cafรฉ with limited seats does offer free drinking water, but still quite cozy while it is not crowded especially for and early morning breakfast (as early as 8:30am) and perhaps afternoon Tea Time for its sweet and savory treats along perhaps with a cup of coffee, tea or even a ่ซๅๆ mojito!
After ordering, they reheated it before serving. This made the filling all warm and oozing as you cut to the middle of it. No clumpy bits, flavors were good. I can most certainly understand now why people were willing to go to lengths just for it. Fortunately for me, I'm always a little late to the game so no queuing required now.
We had tried most of those Nyonya Kuih offered in Baba Charlie and honestly, it never fails to continuously astound in every aspect, just truly a pleasure while enjoying each one of them especially for ondeh-ondeh, Rempah Udang, Kuih Abu Sagu, and Pulut Seri Kaya, arghh still keep craving for more up till date.
Baba Charlie is an icon of Melaka that has been churning out delicious Peranakan / Nyonya kuihs since 1988. Although located further from the main city, it ...
We got a packet of the onde-onde (RM5.30 for 10 pieces)- this was our favourite of the lot as the balls were soft and bursting with gula melaka
Verdict: Decent pastries at reasonable prices. Sometimes, saving a bit of moolah is a good thing.
Banana Croissant (RM7.80) Comment: First time trying banana croissant and immediately fell in love with it! Ridiculously delicious with that perfect balance of sweetness that came from the banana and those toppings gave an extra crunchiness to it, made this croissant really addictive.
Grilled dory fish RM 23.90: grilled dory fish served with spicy wedges, broccoli, carrot, garlic aioli and mixed green A proper fish fillet and none of that frozen crap. It's grilled and seasoned lightly so you can still taste the freshness of the fish. I found that there was a little bit too much going on in the plate but bang for your bucks?
Service here was not too prompt but I wish to be back again to enjoy their main courses for their environment is good and relaxing.
Harga boleh laa tahan, tidak mahal dan tidak murah sangat. masih mampu laa sesekali nak makan di tempat macam ni. Suasana pun okay dan tidak bising. Cuma kuss semangat, ekon kemain sejuk oiii..
8/10. Definitely deserves to be talked about more. I almost canโt believe it was the first time Iโve heard of it when I went here and it was so grand! Good food (and their Opera cake actually looks REALLY GOOD). Bubz Rates (My girlfriend): 8/10. Really good food - worth every cent!
Nevertheless, we are sold and would come back again for their croissant, and to try its other offerings.
Here's the location.
That Sunday morning, weather was lovely that after waking up at the cozy bed of Deluxcious Hotel, we immediately retun to Le Petit for another round of visit, haha.
Pancake is decent, the crusted fish a bit below expectation. Coffee is nice.
A good neighborhood cafe and bakery to enjoy western breakfast.
In summary, The Lord's Cafe serves reasonably good food. The pricing is also very affordable. The only downside is the shortage of dining tables. Customers may need to wait for a while during peak hours.

Well fried, crispy, unoily and tasty โ the qq and unsticky nian gao and the fragrant durian were seriously good. Nothing not to like about fried fritters done so well.

The President (RM 21.80) For chicken lover, you can go for The President. The president is served with the roasted chicken, mozzarella cheese, French garlic sauce, caramelized onions and the roasted cherry tomato. The taste is just awesome with the delighting and aromatic flavours, tender chicken meat with the creamy and fragrant mozzarella cheese and the garlic sauce. Yummy!
A meat lover's dream, the Wagyu Steak Out (RM36.80) is a must-try! A 100g Wagyu steak, perfectly cooked to medium rare doneness, is complimented beautifully with mozzarella cheese, mustard BBQ sauce, pickled cabbage, caramelised onions, roasted tomato and garden greens. This time, we had it with the sourdough bread, which was excellent too.
It was delicious. Mr Baa Baa is made up of Grilled NZ Lamb + Mustard BBQ + Mozzarella + Pickled Cabbage + Garlic Aioli + Mint Leaves + Cranberry Jam. In terms of the bagels itself, there are 5 types you can choose from โ Plain, Seeded, All Sorts. Salt and Pumpkin. I opted for the Pumpkin bagel, just for the heck of it. It was yummy, filling and wholesome. It was like munching on a really fat sandwich. Just to get a bite on the whole thing (all layers in one go), it would entail you to stretch your mouth to the maximum. The blend of flavors was nice. Iโd never put lamb and cranberry in the same equation, but it works. The distinct flavor from the meat, mozzarella and mustard sauce was made better with the addition of sweetness from cranberry jam. It sneaks up on you. Loved it.

Nadeje is a cake shop in Melaka famous for its mille crepe. Iโve heard about Nadeje many years back. Canโt believe Iโve taken over 7 years to try this cake!!! Whatโs a mille crepe? Itโs a French cake made from many layers of crepe. The word mille means thousand which suggest the cake has many crepe โฆ
So there I was at the original spot where I was told the mille crepe craze began. Dropping by the Nedeje Cake Shop at Plaza Mahkota Malacca one fine afternoon, it was indeed a very cozy spot to have some cakes.
Upon arriving, there was a short queue despite it being a weekday (I visited the cafe at 12pm on a Friday). So, definitely make a reservation before you drop by, for the best seat in the cafe, which IMO is definitely the courtyard.
this quaint hideaway cafรฉ provides a cozy retreat while surrounded by the unique artwork and natural elements amidst soul-satisfying and wholesome food.
Verdict: Amazing ambience for leisurely brunch or lunch Great place to have a catch up Delicious desserts! Friendly & warm service
We ordered two sets of โeggs on toastโ, yes two same set I canโt remember why, different toast though. To be frank I canโt remember the taste at the point of writing this, it was just usual toast with rockets and egg. Nothing more I can describe. Will let the pictures tell the taste.
Fresh loaves slices served with dainty Japanese butter, pepper and sea salt. Quite interesting as the Japanese butter renders a rather subtle taste compared to my usual fave French butter.
Widely known for its sourdough and croissant, other bakeries such as baguette, kanelbullar, canele and cakes are also available. They are baked freshly every day, basically you could get all sort of carbs and happiness in the quiet neighbourhood of Taman Rasa Sayang at Petaling Jaya.
