Thereās not a huge range for vegetarians, but I think I would like to go back some time. Overall the experience was good enough I could forgive the weak veggie burger (and my loved ones liked their food), though I would try something else instead. Worth a go if youāre nearby and fancy a burger.
My Personal Opinion I was certainly satisfied with what I tried. I especially enjoyed the Smothered Steak and O'mega Salmon, so I wouldn't dismiss the place for a third visit. ^_~
The Daily Grind fits perfectly to provide another dining destination for the residents around KL.
Cowboy Fries (RM 13.50) One can also enjoy the Cowboy Fries where one definitely addicted to it. The cowboy fries comes awesomely good with the delicious
Cowboy French Fries(Beef), This Beef Meat loaded fries are perfect for feeding a hungry crowd. Piled high with all my favorite ingredients and is delicious!
Reasons to visit: this round we loved the Peanut Shake and thought the off-menu order of the Traffic Jam was quite fun; from our last visit though we highly recommend the Spinach Burger and Cheese Skirt.
ā„Verdict: Overall, it was a fairly good dinner session, with two out of three of our food belong to the category of āI wonāt regret orderingā and the service was friendly too.
Though it has been some time ago before my revisit, there must be something memorable about this place that got me remembering it till now- and unmistakably is their porky dish, yum. So we settled down quickly for some cuppa and savoury. We skipped the sweets as the day was still tad early, haha.
Classic Beef Burger (MYR 17) Never say no to fluffily fried spiced fries- my all time fave!
Unagi Don (RM 35) Have the bowl of don which is served with the roasted eel over a bowl of rice. I love their well roasted eel and it is such a perfect indulgence.
Teriyaki Chicken Burger, 23.80 ringgit. This burger tasted delicious. If you are a fan of āTeriyakiā , then do give this a try. rest assured that every mouth you take has teriyaki sauce in it. I loved it, the slightly spicy, sweetish flavor it provides certainly made the burger as a whole yummy. You would also get a decent chunk of boneless, crunchy grilled chicken + sweet daikon + onions + cheese + cabbage, with some fries on the side. I gobbled it all up, sure was yummy. Loved it.
My Personal Opinion What can I say except....bring your appetite.....they're going to feed you well here!
Overall, love the ambience and love the food, and of course⦠who can resist those mouth watering desserts⦠will definitely be back for more
I came to The Daily Grind two years back for their classic waffle and to date, I still think The Daily Grind serves one of the best classic waffle! Not only they serve delicious food at a reasonable price point, they have some of the cutest retro decor too!
If I have to pick a favorite on the brunch menu, it would have to be the Smokinā Seaside Scones (RM28). The dish takes the much beloved eggs benedict version and jazzed it up to such a scrumptious and creative dish. Featuring two house made crumbly and moist onion scones served with perfectly two poached eggs, smoked tuna, smoked snowfish, rocket leaves and finished with a generous lashing of hollandaise sauce.
Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam was damn good. Charcoal Bread, spread with rendang sauce and stuffed with a crispy, crunchy Thai style fried chicken and then topped with a sunny side up egg, peanut butter and chopped Ikan Billis. Any better way to satisfy the Nasi Lemak cravings? YUM!! Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam @ RM 18.80
Here's the location.
You can now enjoy the tender fried chicken filet which is packed with the creamy butter milk and salted egg yolk gravy, savory parmesan crisp and butter milk dipping sauce. They are really good especially the burger is so juicy and the chicken is freshly deep fried upon order.
KGB Killer Gourmet Burgers, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, burgers, fries, diner, American, western, Telawi street,
I also bought a peanut butter, blueberry jam burger to try like I said I would. The menu price is MYR 19+ (6% SST = MYR 20.15 nett). Surprisingly, the blueberry jam goes well with the beef patty but the peanut butter gives out oil that felt like it could give me a sore throat so I don't think I will eat this burger again.
This time, I order the OHana again with mild sauce. Next time I will request to omit the sauce because it is too flavourful. I will try the peanut butter, blueberry jam burger next time.
Portobello mushroom and pineapple burger (no meat) - MYR 17 nett. Look at the thick mushroom - so tasty!
Kimchi Fries with Bulgogi Beef (RM15.50) It has sour cream and melted cheese on top of the kimchi bulgogi beef slices so it has high calories. I ate half and let my friend have the other half. So satisfying.
Blue Cheese Burger at MYR17.90 nett from KGB Killer Gourmet Burgers, the Gardens Mall
Verdict: Itās a burger that tick all the boxes for me in terms of flavours (I donāt like saucy burger) and price (itās very wallet friendly). Revisit? Why not? (āā½ā)
Overall, Max really enjoyed this burger. If youāre a big eater, we advise ordering two Smash Double with Onions for a fuller meal. Ming still prefers the juicier burgers at Bones, but Max enjoyed this unique offering from Local Area Burger.
The burger was real good. I would not mind having it again. The handmade patty was thick, crispy and crunchy. Tastewise, flavorful and yummy. Topped with a generous portion of fried enoki mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage and a creamy butter sauce? Delicious it was. The dish came with a side of potato wedges.
The Permaisuri (RM14.50) (queen in Malay) consists of a deep-fried boneless chicken thigh patty, coated with homemade Serai Pedas (spicy lemon grass) sauce, cheese, and turkey smoked roll sandwiches between soft buns. The burger was kind of sloppy as expected but not entirely messy as just the right amount of sauces were given. Extra sauces are placed on tables if you would like to drench your burgers in sauces. Taste-wise,we liked the crispy chicken patty as it was tender and juicy on the inside while crunchy on the outside. It certainly reminds us of KFCās Zinger burger but with a local tweak to it with its spicy and tangy seasoning.
I ordered the veggie burger set which came with a drink (warm, it melted the ice very quickly) and chips (standard fast food style). I also added some cheese bites, which seemed to be balls of cheese and potato mixed with a sour tomato and herb sauce, deep fried. These were uncomfortably close to vomit-scented, if Iām perfectly honest. However, the burger was very good. It had cheese, tomato, and onions in, with a slightly sweet and milky bun, and a thick (150g) veggie protein patty. Iād definitely be keen to have the burger again, just without any sides (plus at RM14.50 alone itās decent value).
One of the key selling points of Burgerlari burgers is in its choice of ingredients used; which is of premium quality. According to Justine; only the best chicken parts are used to make the burger patty ensuring moist and tender meat texture.
My TOP PICK of the day 'BUTTER CHICKEN BURGER' ~ Burger-licious deep fried in batter, a juicy and thick chicken patty drenched in sweet-savoury butter sauce sandwiched between the soft charcoal bun!
Burgerlari are also proud of their chicken patty which only strictly make from thigh meat for tender cuts.
Wayback Burger has landed in Malaysia and its first outlet is located at the very convenient mall in Melawati. Apart from the many fnbs that Iāve reviewed for the recent foodieville, there is no way I would let this slide and this one is the exciting one that I was really looking forward to during the restaurant hopping session. Originated from none other than where burger consumption is comforting, this America fast casual restaurant chain based in Cheshire, Connecticut serves burgers and hotdogs, as well as milkshakes.
Wayback Burgers, one of the ābetter burgerā brands from U.S., has opened up their first outlet in Malaysia in Melawati Mall. When ābetter burgerā chains are mentioned, they usually refer to the industry leaders like Five Guys and In-N-Out Burger. These chains are supposedly a class above fast food restaurants and serve fresh to order burgers with higher quality ingredients. Overall our first experience at Wayback Burgers was a disappointing one. Even more so, considering we braved the traffic all the way from Kepong and had to deal with the mallās horrendous parking. To be absolutely fair, the restaurant is new so maybe they still have some things to work out. But all I can really think of now is that we could have went down a few floors and eaten at Carlās Jr instead
"Wayback Burger" is an American Fast food chain that is based in Connecticut, USA.
Buffalo Chicken, 13.99 ringgit This dish turned out better than I expected. Firstly, I kindda thought with the $$$ it cost me, the burger and fries will be sized down but that was not the case here. It was in its original size, a regular sized burger with a generous portion of chips. Secondly, the burger itself was delicious, glad I opted for Buffalo Chicken. I loved the big chunk of crispy, crunchy chicken meat, it was yummy. It seemed like the chicken crust had some flavors added to it, which complimented the burger as a whole. The fries were crispy and thankfully, not laden in oil
Wing Wingās appeal lies in the chickenās freshness, as the meat is delivered to the outlet each morning, then marinated, battered and hand-brushed with premium ingredients ie French flour and natural spices, before they are deep fried to order. The hand brushing technique creates a thin layer of coating over the basic marination, so you get a thin, crackly and almost transparent crust that envelops the juicy meat within. While all the flavours are great, I personally like the licquorice because it has this great, herbal-like flavour with a sweet aftertaste. The spicy will satisfy spice lovers as it packs quite a punch.
We also have the Chicken Wrap which is another of our favourites. The tortilla kind of wraps filled with the generous portion of meat and with vegetables in it comes simply irresistible. Sides with the golden French fries which is freshly fried upon order.
Crispy Chicken Rendang Burger (RM 16.85) ā The all time Malaysian favourite inspired combination of crispy fried chicken coated in spicy rending gravy, topped with fried egg and cucumbers.
Pebble Signature Burger (RM 18.95) Must try burgers is their Pebble Signature Burger where they uses the premium Australian Beef, paired with the crunchy onion rings and savory cheddar cheese. And most importantly; the burgers are served with their Malaysian BBQ Sauce. The burgers comes awesome where the patty are beautifully grilled till medium done-ness to seal in the juices and then it is topped with the cheddar cheese and fried onion rings with the drizzle BBQ Sauce.
The burger is quite good too. It stays in shape even though I cut it in half. We ordered our beef burger medium cooked, hence the pinkish center.
Since everyoneās burger will be different, it is pointless to judge the taste. But I am pretty happy with my beef burger with a medium patty, brioche bun, cheddar cheese, sweet sriracha and ranch sauce. It looked great! As you can see, the patty is thick and tasted fresh because it was made to order.
The Cheesy Billy was a lamb burger. Sometimes with lamb patties ā it can taste a little overwhelming as the taste tends to linger on your tongue? Here, the taste of lamb was evident but not strong, it made eating enjoyable. There was plenty of cheese here the herb cream cheese sauce and mozzarella, it was a perfect addition to the burger and with a generous portion of caramelized onions ā this ended up being a yummy burger.
