Daizu cafe opened at Rangoon road back in 2020. Rangoon road is no stranger to cafe-hoppers with many cafes there such as Brunches Cafe, Gather the Misfits Cafe, and Mosanco Enchanted Cafe.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
It has a relax casual feel when you stepped into the café. There are only about 3-4 tables on the first floor with more seats on the upper loft.
brunches cafe, review, cafe
Food at Brunches Cafe is a mish-mash of international cuisine, I spot American, British, French, Italian, Spanish, and Moroccan influences. Quality of dishes is decent, generally featuring fresh ingredients prepared simply.

Recommended by The Ordinary Patrons. The Mentaiko Scallop Linguine came with a slightly spicy, creamy, poppy mentaiko sauce, and was very nice with a good ebi fragrance and springy soft linguine. The latte was milky and strong too. Nice minimalist and atmospheric cafe.
SYIP Farrer Park Cafe review with pictures of menu : Hip Cafe, Beautiful Food, coffee at Owen Road Singapore
Overall, Syip is definitely off to a great start, with a concise and focused menu, an interior to die for, and a convenient location that already attracts many brunch lovers.
Nice and minimalist decor, with a not bad Mentaiko Shrimp Burger, serving up a chunky, prawny and springy patty, and a thick layer of rich mentaiko. Latte’s good too, smooth and slightly woody.
SYIP Luzerne cafe review with pictures of food menu with prices, Luzerne building Singapore Hiap Huat, kaya butter French toast, coffee
The Place SYIP first opened last June in Farrer Park and was instantly a hit in the neighbourhood with its minimalist space and soothing aesthetics. The popular café which was started by a pair of …
The round croissant Passionfruit La LeBombz was layered, flaky, buttery and a bit heavy, although the passionfruit cream was just a tad too sweet.
We would not stand in a long queue for circular croissants but, having tried La Levain’s La LeBombz, we would say they are “worth the hype.”
The quality & variety of fresh artisanal bakes will be the main reason to visit La Levain bakery cafe; nice cosy spot for coffee and pastry.
Lucid – Coffee at Hamilton Road Lavender
Lucid is a bright contemporary cafe that can be a haven for those who want some peace and quiet. It is a great place for good coffee.
I will definitely be back to try more of their bakes too!
Recommended by Johor Kaki. Hanoi-style pho. Clear, light, slightly oily and sweetish salty broth with a very subtle meat flavour, and coriander and spring onions to lift the flavour. The pho was silky and slippery, and chicken tender and flavourful. Not bad.
Overall, we highly recommend Super Ngon for your Pho fixed. It feels non-commercial, more like dining at Vietnamese household. I’m going to try their Chicken Noodle Soup next time. Cheers!!
This one had a much simpler, salty broth without many herbs, making it north Vietnamese style.
Not hard to see why I keep coming back to Mahota Kitchen for their healthy, scrumptious food items, can you?
All the guiltless treats featured above can be ordered online at Kekito Bakery.
After eating, we didn’t feel heavy. The ingredients are indeed good quality, which contributes to how delicious the food is. I do wish the food is more affordable and I regret ordering the salad which is so little.
The chee cheong fun was smooth and silky yet firm and held its shape. The mixture of peanut and sesame sauce, sweet sauce, hoisin sauce and sesame seeds, was really nice – nutty, sweet and fragrance. Very nice plain chee cheong fun.
The Place Hot off the Michelin Guide 2022 Bib Gourmand list this year is Sing Lung HK Cheong Fun, a new addition which caught my attention amongst the others. It is located at Beach Road in a coffe…

There does not seem to be much chatter about Banchong Cafe. With its inviting environment and affordable nice food and beverages, we would expect it to be crowded but it was not.
Nice, airy and atmospheric cafe. The kopi peng tended towards milky and smooth. Not bad.
Banchong Cafe is sure to be a favorite with the office workers in the area; a spot not just for quality breakfast that is affordable, but one that is also conducive for casual meetings and everyday meals as well.
When I am in need for lunch and also coffee when I am in the area, I will surely pop over to Liberty Coffee Bar without doubt.
The café scene has visibly slowed down the past one year and it’s a case of the survival of the fittest. Liberty coffee definitely has the means to last through, at least we enjoyed the coffee.
To be honest, I have tried Liberty Coffee only at other cafes, but wasn’t always impressed due the sharp aftertaste.
Did everyone setting up a cafe this year decide they were either going to be along East Coast or Jalan Besar? These two locations seem to have a genuine buzz lately, as new wave coffeehouses have set up shop in other corners of these popular areas. Now joining the fray of cafes at Jalan Besar is A
Besides gobbling down the delectable spread of bakes, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there thanks to the friendly staff. You can take my word when I say I will definitely be back again for more!
The new Ando restaurant is a good casual dining restaurant. It has a welcoming and pleasant space, offers an interesting variety of food at reasonable prices and has good service.
Yam cake with yam bits and yammy cream with a subtle sweetness.
Tag Espresso Raffles City Coming Soon in Q4 2022, The Worlds most Expressive Coffee will have its own outlet at Raffles City by the end of 2022!
Prices are reasonable. The space is pleasant and cosy and the service is good. It is an inviting place to go to get into a good mood. The next time I need to placate the Mrs, I shall take her to Missus.
Freshly opened, this new stylish cafe has a little Mid-Eastern influence in their menu. Head down for some delicious desserts too!
I’m a total pau ( steamed buns) lover since young and this includes all kinds of pau although traditional handmade ones are definitely the top of the list.
Interesting flavours like Laksa Scone, Thyme Double Cheese Scone, and Avocado Pandan Scone. The flavours were a bit subdued however, and the texture a bit dry, and so I didn’t enjoy this quite as much.
The wide range on the menu covered much ground for Korean food, but it also came across as rather unfocused to me.
