Pair them with a selection of 10 aromatic premium teas by Gifel Tea or coffee to complete the experience. Guests can select up to two flavours from the list including a specially curated Ginger.Lily house blend.
Overall, the Afternoon Tea experience at Ginger.Lily tick many boxes for me. Good variety, good quality of the offerings and the ambience is comfortable to dine in. A good respite from the Orchard crowd right outside the property.
TAG Espresso at Takashimaya is a small cafe at Ngee Ann City that we have not seen before this visit, even though we have often been to the popular Orchard Road shopping mall. This hidden cafe serves light food and good coffee. But its best attribute is its remote location. This is a place to hide from the crowds.
The latte was okay, but the teriyaki chicken rice bowl was poor. It was basically a piece of pale white fried chicken with some savouriness and a bit of sauce, and nothing else.
Grain Alley in Orchard Central is a great spot in the prime shopping district for good coffee and all day breakfast & brunch.
It's a nice place to take a break from all the window shopping or actual shopping with bags and bags of loots.
From 1 June to 31 July 2023, enjoy Tropical Summer Afternoon Tea at Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel.
I seldom visit the same restaurant twice, at least not twice in quick succession, so that I can try more restaurants. Last month, I visited Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel to check out their la…
A Quick Look: JustIN Gastro Cafe | Bar has just opened at level 4 of TANGS Department Store in Tang Plaza, Orchard Road Singapore. Celebrity chef Justin Quek is the owner/chef at this new restaurant. We were at Tangs the other day and here is a quick look into the restaurant.
It is great that Chef Justin has taken a more casual approach to his latest and only dining concept in Singapore. The gastro-cafe concept should resonate well in Orchard Road, and this is one hidden spot in Tangs to catch up with friends in town.
I wasn't a huge fan of the broth nor room temperature begedil, but I'd like to come back to try their bakso one day.
The new cafe is suitable for a meal with the family or leisurely tea with friends. It has a pleasant space, the service is good and the prices are reasonable.
We rounded off the afternoon tea with the chocolate cake that reminded us of a famous mouse. The taste was very good and we left the TWG Tea Salon in Takashimaya with a sweet taste.
Overall, its an A for the environment and decoration and it really makes you feel like you are dining in fairy girly dreamland.
A slight queue, and a small eating space that was absolutely packed, with a famously fierce owner (although I saw none of that). The chicken rice was moist and slightly fragrant, and the fried chicken had slightly fragrant skin, but the chicken meat was a bit tough, and bergedil a bit mushy.
Popular cafe chain from Hong Kong, with good strong coffee.
