Marks and Spencer must address these issues promptly to avoid the risk of losing clientele, underscoring the importance of responsive adaptation in the face of customer feedback.
I liked this one better, mainly because of the quality of the fish, which was extremely fresh and cut generously. That brightness of things like ginger and cilantro in that Teochew-style broth was refreshing change from Yu Zhong Bu Tong too, especially since they also had that sour bean sauce that I like so much. I'll get this again.
TAG Espresso at Takashimaya is a small cafe at Ngee Ann City that we have not seen before this visit, even though we have often been to the popular Orchard Road shopping mall. This hidden cafe serves light food and good coffee. But its best attribute is its remote location. This is a place to hide from the crowds.
A jiuniang glutinous rice wine shop has opened in the basement of Orchard Gateway where that outlet of Gyu Nami used to be (277 Orchard Road #B2-06).
I'm not sure if this is anything big in China nor if these folks are just preparing packaged versions of this stuff, but there is a stall at Wisma Atria's Food Republic bragging about their simmered tomatoes.
Drim is a pretty decent dining spot along Orchard Road if you are craving for Korean BBQ. The set up and concept is more polished than the typical casual Korean BBQ concepts, and it is a nice touch with the staff grilling the meats for each table.
This was the premium ebi soba premium Kurobuta loin and Iberico belly, Kuruma shrimp wonton, tiger prawn, sweet corn and spring onion. Premium, savoury and prawny tasting and viscous broth, with tender pork and fresh, springy and sweet prawn. Nice.
A slight queue, and a small eating space that was absolutely packed, with a famously fierce owner (although I saw none of that). The chicken rice was moist and slightly fragrant, and the fried chicken had slightly fragrant skin, but the chicken meat was a bit tough, and bergedil a bit mushy.
KAI Yakitori is a place at Orchard Plaza that I could never get into. So I was delighted to find that they had expanded to a new shop one floor down called Homura (150 Orchard Road #03-18), which was easy enough to get seats online.
Nestled within Takashimaya Shopping Centre in Ngee Ann City, Hazuki (晴月) is a Japanese omakase restaurant which recently launched a new à la carte menu to complement its omakase tasting menu. The ala carte menu is served at the elegant Hazuki lounge which is known for their luxurious Gucci homeware and exquisite Kagami crystalware. Hazuki is helmed by classically trained Kyoto chef Kenta Yamauchi, formerly of Michelin-starred Gion Fukushi in Kyoto.
