I absolutely LOVE the roasted BBQ bun and the fried wonton. Actually, I love them all. They’re so good. I wish Dolly Dim Sum would open a branch in Ipoh.
Now reaches our all-time dim sum favourite Har Gao Dumpling “白玉翠虾饺” RM10.50 to make its debut, featuring prawn wraps in translucent dumpling skin. Although it was a little overpriced, yet still definitely worth to order considering the amount (average 2-3) of huge prawn they invested in each dumpling. The classic appearance and taste might as well just evens out the cost that we gonna pay! 😉
We tried their Cendol as well as Ice Kacang. I would say that it was above average. Not one that was exceptionally good as I have tasted much better ones. Perhaps, it is just conveniently located inside a mall and that draws the crowd to this place. My rating for both the items shall be 7/10.
Their Crisp Fried Marinated Pork Chop Noodles were quite good too. The usual Egg Noodles served in soy sauce and topped with some crisp Pork Chops. Portions were good and the Egg Noodles were so soft and silky. Very authentic taste as well and for those who are only used to the Malaysian style of Wan Tan Mee, then this would be something quite different as the sauces are on the light side and most of the flavours are derived from the hot springy Egg Noodles. The Pork Chops were decent too. My rating for this dish shall be 8/10.
To my surprise, their Signature Chicken Rice turns out to be pretty good. Rice is fragrant and Chicken is just right.
Char Siew & Siew Yuk Platter @ RM 33.02 Their Char Siew and Siew Yuk platter was one that we thoroughly enjoyed. Their Char Siew was a little fatty and those that like it this way would surely enjoy this preparation. For me, I would rate this at 8/10. Their Siew Yuk was really good. Crispy and so juicy, just the way I love it and this I would definitely rate at 9/10.
