Their Sizzling Yee Mee was very good. Everything was just right about that dish. Right from the crispy noodles to the broth, it was all perfect and my rating for this dish shall be 9/10.
Bitter Gourd Spare Ribs Soup @ RM 8.90. Their Bitter Gourd Spare Ribs Soup was another excellent preparation. The Bitter Gourd did not overpower the flavours and the ribs were chunky and juicy. Another one that I would rate at 9/10.
We ordered the Cantonese Crispy Egg Noodle with King Prawn (港式生虾面). The prawn which is filled with roe was succulent with a nice bouncy texture.
Dining at Xing Zhu Chinese Restaurant, we were treated to their 'ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT' ala carte Dim Sum which is available both for lunch or dinner. Priced at RM 69nett, diners can indulge in 16 selections of scrumptious dim sum delights that are made fresh upon order.
Deep Fried Salmon Skin with Salted Egg – The skin is fried crispy and wonderful as an appetizer. The salted egg yolk mix into the dish giving you the whole new level of experience
Harga pun kira OK la kot cuma harga air macam mahal skit.
Overall, I found the preparation to be good. Despite being a Halal establishment, they could bring out the original flavours of the dish and it was pretty close to the non Halal version. Huge prawns were added to the dish and the other additions were sliced chicken, egg and Tofu. My rating for this dish shall be 7/10.
The soup itself was quite spicy and the touch of vinegar gave it a sour aftertaste. I have tasted this kind of preparation elsewhere before and this one tops them all. The soup was so authentic and clearly it did not have any artificial flavourings. Another one that you must try here is their Pork Balls. Actually, you can choose from their Fish Balls, Bursting Meat Balls and Pork Balls and I went for the latter since I prefer that. This Pork Balls was really good and the meat was fresh and surprisingly somewhat soft. In total, it was such an amazing dish and my rating for this preparation shall be 9/10.
Marmite Chicken with White Rice @ RM 8.80. Their Kuey Teow Soup came in a pretty huge portion and is good to feed a heavy eater. Flavours wise, it was quite decent and I loved the mix of ingredients. My rating for this shall be 7/10. Their Marmite Chicken with Rice was good. The Chicken chunks were fresh but they could have been a little more generous with the marmite. My rating for this shall be 8/10.
For me, this Wantan Mee was above average and seemed pretty decent. The portions were huge and they were quite generous with the sauces. The dish also came with some Roasted Chicken which seemed a tad too dry for me. I would have expected one that was a little juicy. Noodles wise, I would rate it 7/10 and for their Roasted Chicken, I would rate it at 6/10
I wasn't in the mood to go for Fish Head and so, I went for their Fish Paste Noodles that is served in the same milky broth. The broth was lovely, seriously it was nice but it would have been better if they had been a little more generous with the pickled vegetables. The Fish Paste itself wasn't great and it was clearly not fresh. For the broth, I would give this 8/10 and for the Fish Paste, 2/10.
I was pretty impressed with the Dry Noodles (Kon Loh Mee). They were quite generous with the sauces and the flavours were good. My rating for this shall be 8/10.
The first dish to arrive was their Bitter Gourd Soup. This was priced at RM 16.00 for their medium portion. Truly huge portions and is definitely good to serve at least four people. Taste wise, it was amazingly good. Really excellent. The flavours were awesome and the soup was so addictive. My rating for this dish shall be 9/10
