I had a pack of Curry Chicken + Prawn + Egg (RM 6.00). When I first open the packet, I thought the curry would give a fiery hot sensation but it was more toward to sweet side with a slight spiciness. The taste is great, as prepacking with curries allowed all the curries essence soaked and infused to all the rice. Therefore, do expect a packet of dry curry instead.
"Five-star food and service at a reasonable price" The luxuriously decorated state banquet seafood restaurant, there are varieties of classic modern dishes, and the recipes are the proud work of the senior chef 沈福泉, who is the prestige of the restaurant.
Overall, the food is gratifying to my palate.

Overall, even though Chan Kee does not the best in Alor Setar but it's a decent place for a quick, casual meal if you are in the neighborhood.
In conclusion, Dede Moda Restaurant can be considered as a good spot with a comfortable space to get your cravings fixed.
While taste-wise, the foods aren't as impressive as we hoped... there are rooms for improvement.
Not only Laksa, but Popiah, Jawa Noodles, Pasembur, Otak-Otak, Rojak, Fried Noodles, and Fried Rice are now available either with the affordable price.

Ah Liang Fried Fish 亚良炒魚 is located at Chin Venlin Coffee Shop 新汶玲饮食馆 at Alor Setar. This stall is a well-established brand that is selling fried fish and pickled reddish fish for more than 20 years. Besides the fried fish at this coffee shop, the Peking roast duck and the char siew are also of recommended for those who come here.
A plate duck noodle here cost RM 4 only and it features a fistful of homemade noodles doused with light starchy sauce, then topped with a few slices of duck meat, spring onions and vegetables. The al-dente noodles texture is enjoyable, and the light coating of the starchy sauce jars well onto the noodles, pumping it to be flavourful.
Yuan Wei Steamboat & BBQ is serving the most affordable and authentic Thai Mookata in Alor Setar, Kedah. This restaurant serving varieties of meat from the meat jerky to marinated meat slices. From home made shrimp dumpling to cheese balls. All these are available as options to choose while the veggie for Mookata is unlimited free flow. The chilli sauce of the Mookata here is so appetizing and exiting, the taste makes you feel like travel to Thailand again.
Kaya Butter Toast - the fact that I just indulged in brunch less than an hour ago didn't stop me from having a serving of kaya butter toast. I am glad I did though as this toast was better than most of what I had in Singapore!
The Longhead Grunt Fish Siam Style (白皂鱼; RM 35) is a definite gem here. It was served piping hot with an ongoing fire to keep the fish hot. A bowl of soup is given complimentary for us to top up and that made us fall in love with it. Its acidity that comes with a little numbness is dangerously addictive, making us taking in more and more of the soup despite the heat is slowly mounting in our lips and palate.
The portion of the Signature Gua Pao was rather big in size as well as the pork belly inside, thus I thought it worth the price.
Verdict : Just like it was years back, definitely the best Kangkong Belachan I had this past 10 years
