Overall, Joo Chiat Prawn Mee at Ayer Rajah Food Centre is definitely worth a try for the westies, especially if you like your prawn noodles to be sweeter.

Having Chicken Rice in Air Conditioned Area.
The fish was fresh and bouncy, but the soup was very lightly flavoured, to the point of having almost no flavour.
The fried rice was honestly not bad, fluffy and moist, with a good eggy flavour. The pork chop was well marinated with five spice powder and tender, as well as crispy at the edges. Unexpected find.
Every aspect of the lor mee was just perfect. My only complaint is that the stall is located in a pretty remote corner in the western part of Singapore. Still, I’ll definitely be back for their lor mee!
I really hope his son and partner are able to pick up the skill and continue his legacy.
“Such pleasant and hardworking people, and such a good plate of noodles,” I said to myself as I left the food centre, with a smile on my face.
I admire his humility, and dedication to improvement.
