For those who are not into noodles, you can have their nasi lemak with either luncheon meat or fried chicken (go for the luncheon meat). ^_~ For a Chinese-style nasi lemak, they do justice to the sambal (but a little on the salty side). The thing they need to improve is the always the over-fried egg.

My Personal Opinion Depending on what you order, you may come away with a fairly satisfying meal here with prices that are within the affordable range. I think the rice sets and dark sauce noodles are the more successful dishes here. It's just another option for our family dinners when I don't cook...and when we don't feel like eating at hawker stalls.

My Personal Opinion All the noodles I tried lacked seasoning (including the shrimp cake)...and coming from someone who don't like her food too savoury, that's saying a lot. So this is more suited to tastebuds that like their food less salty or on the bland side. After three unimpressive visits, I don't think I'll be back to try anything else.

My Personal Opinion If you don't mind a non-char siew type of wantan noodles, the one here with minced pork isn't too shabby. This, and the beef noodles (with either raw beef slices or a mixture of beef and pork balls), are the only two things I go for here.

Certainly one of the choice coffee shops here...and the three stalls I highlighted are the best this coffee shop has to offer. Eating either one of these should satisfy you. The only bummer is that this shop doesn't open at night, it's only for breakfast and lunch. So you can't get fried noodles for dinner when you want it most! :( This coffee shop is what Pandan Indah can offer in terms of excellent fish ball noodles, good sam kan chong noodles and decent stir-fried noodles. Obviously, it's one of our favourites. There are abundant choices here and you're likely to find one that meets your approval, I'm sure.

All in all, this is a worthy replacement of the previous tai chow place that occupied the space here. Though prices may be slightly higher but then this place is little bit more premium in looks and offerings with both an air-conditioned and an outdoor dining area plus a proper menu. Perhaps some of the dishes can't compare with the previous tai chow place but we also had some dishes that weren't offered by the previous place. So, this still makes a good neighbourhood tai chow place for some of our weekday and weekend dinners.

in-house health cuisine has always been about the health of customers and to promote awareness amongst its daily customers. The dishes in the menu are specially made for the workaholic employee or employer so that they can enjoy a healthy balanced meal, without the worries of it being utterly tasteless. The dishes in-house health cuisine provides aids as a supplement to a daily balance diet for its customers. The concept of 80% vegetable and 20% meat in a single dish is what every dish made in in-house health cuisine will compromise of.

The prawn mee and yong tau foo are the two stalls you should head straight for when you're here. The prawn mee can rival some of the best I've had and their fried shallots are as fresh as you can get, so make sure you ask for extra (for a small fee lah) if you're a big fan of fried shallots like me. Also, don't miss the extra-long fried fu chuk roll with your other favourite yong tau foo types while you're here.

My Personal Opinion Although the soup base may be a little too robustly flavoured for me, this is still a viable option for pork noodles. The option with seafood offers a slightly lighter stock base but I may be too lazy to tackle the prawns with shells and all. So I will stick to soup noodles and enjoy the mixian with all the delicious porky liew but will just drink less of the soup. ^_~

The Porridge @ RM5 with bits of century egg, salted egg and minced pork, topped with a few crunchy slices of "yaw char kwai" (Chinese crullers), had just the right texture and consistency. I like how fresh and finely julienned the ginger was too that added freshness to the mild-tasting porridge (some might feel the flavour is a tad too light).

I prefer the stew over the plain beef soup. This is braised till tender and it's very flavourful. My Personal Opinion *Stop Press* I can't believe my luck...there's such a good curry laksa at my doorstep!!! I'm not fully convinced of their roasted meats (other than char siew) but it'll certainly be a place I'd return frequently for curry noodles (first and foremost) and char siew wantan mee (second in line). That said, the rest of the roasted meat is still decent by many's standards (but the char siew is still your best bet though)! ^.^

One of the signature (and popular) dishes here is the Nasi Ayam (RM55), aka chicken rice. Guests can opt for either roasted or poached chicken. We went for the roasted chicken and I was impressed by the generous portion that arrived. Tastewise, the chicken was tender and comes with three different dipping sauce - chilli, ginger and sweet soy sauce. The rice was pretty good too, as it was fragrant and flavorful. Overall, a pretty authentic rendition of a Malaysian favourite.

The Beef Brisket Noodle Soup was decent... though a little too greasy to our liking, the broth carried the right seasoning and come with an in-depth meaty flavor. On the meat, we were served a mix of perfectly cooked, tender tendons and beef briskets. A pity that the serving portion was a little small.

Most of the one-dish rice meals are priced very reasonably under RM20 (with good portions too) for a location like this.

I do have a favourite prawn mee in PJ which I've not gotten round to blogging about coz I've not had that prawn mee in quite a while. However, this is still a very decent prawn mee...but was it better than my favourite prawn mee in PJ?
