Likes: Quite good dimsum for Halal standards. Some non-pork dishes in general are authentic. Nice staffs. Dislikes: Manager is really rude (the one with the huge hair like bird's nest), luckily her staffs are nice. I always avoid asking her to get the orders as she is really rude, and I notice she is only nice to men and slam plates when its a bunch of ladies. It's too obvious that everytime I visit, I will not want her to serve us at all.

When we reached Yut Kee, there were many people waiting for seats but we did not have to wait long and were shown to our table. We did not order the popular dishes such as Pork Bun and Hainanese Chicken Chop because we felt like eating noodles. The noodles taste ok with reasonable price.

Straight away ordered few items pop-up in our mind – Hainan Chicken Chop, Curry Chicken Mee Hoon Mee, Half Boiled Eggs and coffee. Glad that we did some homework by checking out some Yut Kee food photos and reviews before coming. LOL.

As for Kin Kin Chili Pan Mee, I find that the chili is less spicy, slightly more on the fragrant side, and with salty end. Noodle texture is about right, as they have its unique mouth bite texture which is like half chewy half soft.

Priced at RM8, Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee is served with wheat noodles, spring onions, fried ikan bilis and garlic, and a soft boiled egg, accompanied with a small bowl of sayur manis soup. Ong Lai is one of the ol skool Chinese restaurants that have been in town for many years. MIL has told me so much about the awesome steam fish, fried noodles and orchien. The menu is simple and straightforward. Classic favourites for old and young alike. Take your pick of sitting in the alley or inside the shop. We opted for the latter.

Fried Fish Paste Noodles, 11.90 ringgit Food was good. I especially loved the broth. It was milky and the taste of fish paste was evident, prominent. The dose of Chinese wine was a good addition, it provided that extra ‘kick’, one that made slurping the broth an even more joy. They had 3 options for noodles and while I was intending to have my dish with YM – yellow mee, the waiter suggested that it would go better with MH – mee hoon. Since they do not offer an option of mixed noodles, I went along with their suggestion. The noodles sure were generously portioned. I was very hungry when I arrived and by the time I was done, I sure was stuffed. Burp

Conclusion: if you love steamed nasi lemak, pork curry and sambal cuttlefish, this is the place to be. A big plus point for me is that although their sambal is sweet and spicy, it leans toward the latter.
