A trip to The Top Penang, is definitely a must for those visiting Penang… Currently the offer price is RM75 per adult or RM55 per child for the 3 main attractions – aquarium, Jurassic and skywalk… Or you can get full tickets at RM108 per adult or RM88 per child for all 16 attractions for the whole day…
The recommended way to see everything that The Top Penang offers in Komtar is to get a Fun Pass which allows multiple entries to every attraction except the Augmented Reality Virtual, The Gravityz, Formula One & TOP Capsule. It costs RM78 for MyKad Malaysian holders and RM99 for all other adults, and RM48 for Malaysian children/RM58 for foreign children.
The main attraction is on Level 68 where one gets to experience the open-air Rainbow Walk and look down via the glass to 249 metres above ground. So when compared to the sky towers listed above admittedly the Top Komtar isn’t that high but this view still left me breathless.
There were enough shops to keep you occupied for 2 hours at least if you’re the shopper type. I did my rounds for kitchenware (Kitchen Shop Outlet), mid-range designer wear (Guess, Esprit), sports (Adidas, Under Amour), bedding (Akemi) and then went hunting for food.
This place will certainly become my next shopping ground when I am heading back to Penang as heading here is so convinient where it is directly located at the first exit on the left if you are coming from Penang island Second Bridge. Sad part is there are lack of many premium brands or maybe there will be in the coming months as current occupancy is like 50%-60% only.
The largest Premium Outlet Mall- Design Village Penang has opened its doors today (23 November 2016) at Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Penang. Batu Kawan is one of the heaviest development zones by the Penang State Government at present, the island expects to receive great spotlight from the media over its vast development in the next few years and Design Village Penang is one of the huge projects. The mall that spans across 24 acre-land houses as much as 97 international brands; the location is strategic... only 5 minutes drive away from the Penang second link bridge (Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge). At present, only 50% of the shops are opened and the mall is expecting to run at 70% capacity in by end of December 2016.
CUBOPARK - some areas do have dual floor set up.
The containers are open with glass doors with dark panels.
IKEA Batu Kawan showcases over 49 Swedish inspired room sets in its 470,146 square feet store. We even lost our sense of direction for a moment because the store is that HUGE. However, that didn’t stop us from jotting down notes and making a mental Pinterest board in our heads for inspirations.
