蝦腸 Prawn rice noodle was still not bad after 3 years, but the 菜餃 Vegetable Dumpling and 魚賣 Yu Mai was average at best.
Verdict: These old school Dim Sum was above average and very affordably priced. I’m definitely don’t mind to make a return and I’ll make sure to get a seat on upstairs, hehe ^__^
I love their fried dim sum especially the fried prawns. The prawns inside are fresh and tasty. It's really a different one compared to other places.
For the portion of dim sum and the quality of it, we did not think Jin Xuan is overpriced this round. It costed us less than RM 50 for all the dim sum.
This is our definitely favourite go-to spot to fix our dim sum crave in PJ! One of the best affordable dim sum in Petaling Jaya, it never fails to satisfy ou...
Dim sum dishes are at a price range of RM5 to RM7, with specialty dishes like the ribs racking up a more meaty price tag of RM13.
Surprising, the mussels cheese-mai wasn't too bad (at least I liked it most among the 3 plates I order).
Overall, it was an excellent breakfast for us. Delicious Dim Sum after our tired shopping at TTDI Market. The total bill for both food and drinks in RM 45 including service charge and GST.
This dim sum restaurant (withI think there's a 'forever' crowd because all the dim sum here is decently priced (with most around RM4 - RM5)....plus decent portion sizes too....and decent tasting as well. My favourites were the steamed char siew pau, fried sticky rice, fish stuffed root and bacon roll (in that particular order)...hee..hee! 7 branches), Jin Xuan Hong Kong @ Damansara Uptown is always packed, so much so that they’ve set up large te...
A place to gather, that is Urban Ground is all about. Urban Ground is not a food court but it offers four food options for you to choose and they are Chic Ole, Belacan Laa, One Bite Dim Sum and Gratzi Café. Urban Ground recently opened at Kelana Parkview Tower, Petaling Jaya.
We tried out their assorted steamed dumplings, my favourite siew mai, loh mai gai, bbq chicken buns and more on our visit to Urban Ground that afternoon.
Overall, Urban Ground is a place to gather and makan with friends and family. A cozy integrated food hub that is suitable for all ages, cater for many tastebuds at affordable price. They have Chic Ole, Belacan-Laa, One Bite, Gratzi, and may be more
Char Siew & Golden Bun is nice, as you bite into the bun the egg custard is gushing out. Prawn fritters is part of their special dim sum variety with good filling for RM10.00.
opens early, non-Halal
Overall, I will go for their fish paste in and on anything, Puffs, Paus and CCF with Char Siew inside and their lighter Dim Sum as I will try to avoid some of their platters with heavier sauces which deliver the sweet notes.
Yam bao and Malai ko char siew bao from Key Way coffee shop at Paramount Garden, PJ. Total price is MYR 7 nett. One is MYR 3 nett and one is MYR 4 nett - I forgot which is what. I gave both to my friends, one each and they told me that the two baos taste ok, not much fillings.
As usual, there will always be one or two groups of elderly man who are regulars in such kind of local dim sum restaurants early in the mornings, savoring their morning tea with the "old man talks".
I have got to try it next time if I am ever visiting Sri Petaling.
♥Verdict: I can’t say this was a memorable lunch considering the food was very much a hits and misses affair. But that day’s gathering was all about the precious family bonding time.
♥Verdict: Not a restaurant that we can afford to visit regularly but food wise, you can assure that the quality and service justify the price paid.

I recently dined at Samtai Yum Cha Dim Sum Halal Food One Utama Shopping Mall. They are located at LG, Foodstreet, 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Old Wing) and opposite KFC. They are HALAL certified, famous for their dim sum as well as their Chinese food.
Santai Yamch’a is a modern casual dining restaurant located at 1 Utama Shopping Centre where family and friends can indulge in delicious halal savoury dimsum and a wide range of Malaysian delights in a relaxing and comfortable setting.
Patrons can santai or chill out at Santai Yamch’a Dim Sum Restaurant over a plethora of Halal Dim Sum, Mee Tarik and Rice whenever they step in.
My Personal Opinion Among some of my favourites were the fish stuffed root (which I now know as sang kan yuen), fried sticky rice, siew mai, deep fried carrot cake, brinjal, stuffed beancurd puffs and steamed BBQ buns.
Dim Sum was good! Service was bad for an establishment which charges service tax.
Golden bun RM3.60 for 2 – I love this – the buns are filled with pumpkin and the juice will just ooze into your mouth with every bite –heavenly!
Save some space for the main highlights of the buffet which are 2 exquisite dishes, namely their Special Peking Duck and Roasted Pork dishes, both freshly prepared by their chefs.
We recently discovered that CELESTIAL DYNASTY SECTION 19 PETALING JAYA has recently launched its SUNDAY Dim Sum Brunch from as low at RM38.00+ for the senior citizen.
Curry Suckling Pig Always my favourite dish on a wedding banquet and Celestial Dynasty’s rendition certainly scored marks for novelty and flavours. The delicate crispy skin was very pleasingly delicious and the attached succulent meat infused with curry powder added fragrance to the bite.
yg ni ramai review sedap...mmg yummy salted egg bun tp tkleh mkn byk2 muak..so sorg mkn 1 1/2...ngam
Le Sense is one of the few restaurants in the Klang Valley where dim sum is revered as an art form. Restaurateur Chris Chew is so discerning when it comes to the serving of these delicate morsels that patrons of Le Sense who wish to sample the restaurant’s lunch-tasting menu (starting from RM138++ per person) must make reservations at least two days in advance.
Every morsel was exquisitely crafted and beyond Chinese tea, the discerning are encouraged to bring their own wine, champagne even (no corkage), to pair with the dim sum. The curated menu starts from a base of RM138++ and above for lunch. Dinner prices are a little more, depending on the menu.
Take the sublime Xiao Loong Bau, for example. The delicate folds of the bigger-than-average dumplings are quickly formed before going directly into the steamer for just the right amount of time. Once it’s served, gently suck out and savour the glorious truffle-scented broth – this is the best part of a XLB experience – before eating up the whole dumpling.
Mohd Chan Dim Sum & Restaurant has at least a dozen locations in Klang Valley. Will not be trying out any Dim Sum at Mohd Chan but perhaps other halal dishes offered in their other branches in the future.
The dim sums were not fantastic but for the price we paid they were very much worth it.
What do We Like about Wong Pan Dim Sum, SS 2? -Decent quality of dim sum around the neighbourhood
For benefit of doubt, maybe should revisit "Win Hao Dim Sum House" in future for other Setiawan famous street food.
Win Hao Dim Sum" with a positively experience, definitely worth coming back to sampling other Dim Sum plates.
Before we moved to the seafood dishes, you must order this "Mongolian Chicken" which I found it to be an interesting dish that me, myself is unable to explain how it tastes! "Same-Same But Different" is the word that I can use to express this dish compare to Butter Chicken. It is really juicy, tasty and yummilicious.
The Dim Sum sampled today were better than average and don't mind coming back just for the Dim Sum and a tea pot of Chinese tea
Ginger Forever Thai and Canning Heritage Express are the few places offering something other than Korean/Japanese, or bowls of noodles. I would eat at either of these two restaurants again the next time I’m at Paradigm Mall. Although none of the dishes blew me away, the food is appetizing enough where it would fill any cravings I had for this kind of cuisine, as it did on this day.
All of the Dim Sum sampled were too salty for my liking and obviously wasn't fresh, just heated up, below average in my opinion.
Siu Mai tastes good as usual.
