Overall, both the black pepper and the fried chicken were not too bad. A returning trip for other items in the menu can be done too.
Hidden within NEWest is Birdfolks, a new spot that's especially proud of their fried chicken and rice bowls.
Birdfolks serves up delicious American-inspired fried chicken with an Asian twist.
Waffletown USA will cease operations on 18th May 2021. Do drop by to pay your last pilgrimage before they are gone for good.
I'm glad that Waffletown make a comeback for all their supporters as we really miss such nostalgic taste from their fried chicken. However, due to a shortage of manpower, they will be opening from 5pm to 9pm except Monday till further notice.

Their Shackburger is still reliable. Maybe not for everyone but I like it.
Today's fries were.....nice. Yes, that is indeed the ShackMeister ale in the corner.
Though the price may be steep, I guessed it all sums up to the quality and premium food selection where they pledged it contains no hormones or antibiotics on the Angus Beef.
Overall, I really like the fish of Big Fish Small Fish as they have pretty good quality and was cooked well with a crispy and thin batter. This single fact was enough for me to ignore the mediocrity of the sides and on top of this, the price is also considered quite affordable at SGD 18.90
The pilaf was spiced and punctuated with sweetness from the raisins but the rice was dry and lumpy and would have benefitted with a bit more of salt.
Big Fish Small Fish is a fish & chips shop for a decent fish meal at affordable price - in Punggol, Northpoint, Tampines, JCube & Bugis.
I have been raving about Burger Labo amongst my friends but its price tag for its single-patty basic burger, at S$25, is a bit hard for me ...
Tucked away in the very ulu Henderson Industrial Park, 2280 Burger serves up gourmet beef burgers and fries at affordable prices. Read more.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
The Dalgona coffee craze has taken over Singapore by storm during the Circuit Breaker period, with many Singaporeans choosing to whip up this Instagram-worthy concoction at home.
Stepping into B Burger reminds me of the time when roller skates and spandex were cool while girls just want to have fun.
For now, B Burger works perfect for me, and definitely fire up some satisfying burgs.
I crave for Fried Chicken at times and I like clean simple tastes. Korean is too saucy sometimes, KFC is not edible for me, spicy is killing the flavor of the chicken, etc., so there are simple options that I enjoy.
Arnold’s Fried Chicken is a place where we can forget our table manners and our diet plan and just enjoy tender, juicy, crunchy and, probably, fatty fried chicken.
It’s a great place to get your fried chicken fix without breaking the bank!
If you're a fan of pasta and are in the area, I highly recommend giving this dish a try. With its rich and flavorful ingredients, it is sure to satisfy your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Overall, my experience at Saporita was fantastic, and I look forward to trying more dishes from their menu.
On paper, that sounded like a good thing. But in the process of getting it so crispy, it was also rather burnt...so much that all I could taste was burned potato, even if I tried covering it up with that sour cream. I don't think I'll get that again.
I don't think I'll get that again.
The 6ixs gets rosti right. And for under $10 a serving with a thick cake of rosti and a protein on the side, we think it’s well worth it.
Crispy fresh prata with good dough fragrance, generous eggs and onions. Teh was strong and milky as well.
Food at Zuzu Kebab is Turkish cuisine, with a focus on kebabs. There's a good range of options here, though most folks order the staples.
Despite the waiting time, Zuzu Kebab delivers quality food that is also generous in portion. With so many other options to try on the menu, I’m 100% making a return to give the rest of them a go one at a time!
Take a stroll along this mural and enjoy its palette of vibrant colours, as well as clever, plant-inspired adaptations of Shake Shack’s icons.
You know what I find hard to resist? Fried chicken, especially one with the word “famous” as it is like a direct challenge for me to take it...
In conclusion, I wouldn’t have joined any queues for Winner’s Fried Chicken but it’s an option if it’s a quick buy. As for the title of best fried chicken in Singapore, the jury’s still out.
These franchise hawkers operate under the brand’s name, using the same flour and recipe that they’re so well-loved for.
I love the homemade tofu edamame patty, which had a nice crisp on the outside but was really soft on the inside. It melts almost immediately when you bite into it.
Overall, I remember why I had such little recollection of Nando’s as their chicken really does not leave an impression. Lacking in charred flavour, I would opt for Kenny Rogers anytime although the one thing which differentiates Nando’s from their competitors is the Peri peri sauce. I am just not sure if I want to visit a restaurant just for their sauces
The sambal mayo burger tasted more creamy, eggy and oniony than sambal mayo. There was really no sambal, and I could only taste a tinge of the slightly tangy mayo. Tasted a lot like McDonald’s Nasi Lemak Burger, without any spice.
I rather enjoyed it, particularly since it was nice and salty.
The patty was a bit thin and dry (despite being in their Premium Angus Beef category), but it still carried that signature charbroiled beef taste that Carl's Jr is known for. I'd eat it again.
Considering its convenient location and commendable quality, we wouldn’t be surprised to see more outlets springing up across the island, with one set to open in Ang Mo Kio soon.
Overall, we felt that Ordinary Burgers is a great addition to the mall.
Be prepared to sink your teeth into fluffy toasted buns slathered with Carl’s Jr. signature BBQ sauce, savoury and tender brisket, smoked cheese and an incredibly juicy beef patty all at once.
