Overall, if you intend to visit the hawker, you can try all items of the yong tau foo as they are so delicious and they are also very affordable. The dry noodles is the best in my opinion but the rest of the variety is equally good
Even though the taste to me was quite ordinary, it was a good experience to have sank into the local culture, experiencing the environment and food there.
Last but not least, you can’t just tell people that you went to Big Tree Foot (大树脚) without having their signature beverage – Red Bean Ice Smoothies (红豆冰) which costs only RM2.50 per cup. Tastes mild sweet, flaky and irresistible strong red bean flavor, this long-forgotten cold beverage is definitely the best duo with Yong Tau Fu (quench thirst and wash any greasy feel), not to mention it just feels awesome drinking cold stuff under any hot sunny days! 😉
This is a local food court, not a tourist places. Satay and Mee Mamak is pretty good, recommended.
I was feeling lazy on this particular Sunday and I wasn't in the mood to cook. So we ended up having dinner with our friends at Kafe Best Hillview.
The chicken meat is cooked just nice, not overcooked.
My Personal Opinion What I do know is this.....it's the best kai see hor fun I've eaten in all of KL! This one is already so good, I don't think I need to look for a better one in Ipoh.
Moon De Moon have conquered the taste buds of many Ipoh folks. If you are visiting Ipoh or passing by the North South Expressway near Ipoh, do check out Moon De Moon's kai see hor fun, if you like to try one of the best renditions of Ipoh's iconic dish.
Everything was good except that it was a bit too salty for us and the beef was tough. Next time, I must remember to pick pork or chicken and also to request for it to be less salty.
Here's the location.
Yummy chicken curry noodle
This time, hubby joined the queue at the Pandan Rice stall. He came back with this plate filled with our yummi-licious favourites. Even now, seeing this picture makes me drool.
The Deep Fried Prawns were good. Fried just to the right level and the accompanying sauce was superb. Slightly on the spicy side but it was really good. 9/10 would be my rating for this dish.
Hubby ordered this bowl of curry noodle consisting of bbq pork, roast pork, etc. This curry broth has less coconut milk and tastes sourish with the added lime juice. Those who prefer the curry broth to be "lemak" coconut milk may not like this.
Come 4pm people will be standing in line waiting patiently to ordered their roast pork.
The fried noodles was good and we ended up ordering an addition plate to share
If you are a fan of cheap eats that will make you come back for more, then the stadium is a place that you need to visit.
The dry version is more of the dark + light soy sauce plus some thick curry gravy.
