As if the fast-food competition is not fierce enough, the South-Korean inspired joint- 3 Korean Fried Chicken joins in the war, opening a new outlet at the Pusat Perniagaan Maju Utama, Bukit Mertajam. Korean Fried Chicken and classic Korean delicacies (like Kim Chi, Tteokbokki, Korean Fried Rice) make up the menu. The serving portion is small but it commensurate with the wallet-friendly prices. While the dining space is welcoming, 3 Korean Fried Chicken does not come across as a place suitable for proper meals... more like inter-meal snacks or perhaps, light afternoon breaks. 3 Korean Fried Chicken can be found few doors away from CIMB Bank at Bukit Mertajam (near Sentosa).
During our visit, chickens are fried on the spot upon order to ensure freshness. You can have in ala carte, or order in a complete set (comes with French fries and soft drink of your choice). Nevertheless, the fried chicken was falling short of our expectations (smaller chickens and dried meat), and the burger ain't impressive neither. It might be an okay choice if are looking for something to full your hunger and nothing else
My personal favorite is their Combo Set Fried Chicken which i have the freedom to choose 1 type of sauce that i like and 2 side dish of which i choose Honey Mustard as the sauce to pair with sides of Butter Corn and Potato Salad. The side dish is in small serving but 6 piece of Boneless Fried Chicken is more than enough for me, though the size is small. In terms of taste, it is tasty, especially when i am a fan of Honey Mustard, the fried chicken goes so well with it.
