What do We Like about Kompassion? -Foods were all great and delicious. Can see the efforts behind each dish from the ingredients used -Comfortable environment and attentive staff
Dinner was about RM250 for three pax, and considering how we ate so much, plus drinks and desserts, it was very reasonable. Kompassion has certainly upped their game, yet managed to keep their prices down at more affordable levels.
Our meal for four, inclusive of drinks and desserts, came up to RM250++. Considering the setting, as well as quality of food and service, I think this is a reasonable price. There are plenty of other dishes that I’ve yet to try on the menu, so I’m looking forward to my next visit. Reservations are recommended, but you can try walking in too.
Garlic Fried Rice was superb. Delicious combination of Garlic Fried Rice and Fried Chicken. The portion is more than enough for 2 people. Kimuchi G.RC @ RM 33
Chicken Katsu Curry Rice. I swear that the portion has gotten smaller. Not just the plate.
Next to come is the Sirloin Steak Set priced at RM30.00. The set is served with rice, miso soup and mashed potato & salad. The steak is cooked medium well and served with teriyaki sauce but to my disappointment, the steak is lack of taste. This is the common problem with most restaurant, but probably it's only me that expecting wagyu beef quality everywhere. It's overall good and I think it's a good bargain for this price range in this environment. No complain and I visited this place that many times means that it must be quite good to keep me going back.
Kedai macam ni standard la, makanan murah, air mahal. Kami minum lemonade dia sedap jugak, walaupun mahal sikit. Menyegarkan~~
My Personal Opinion Although I won't bother eating those commercially produced meat and frozen fish, the chicken chop itself is worth trying for the price and taste if you happen to be in the mall looking for cheaper eats.
Slurpy Chicken (RM 17) We had their Slurpy Chicken where the chicken comes simply juicy and moist. The portion is pretty huge to be enjoyed and they are deliciously sides with the al-dente pasta. Just perfect to my tastebuds.
This looks like rice but it is Uncle Don's Spicy Fried Maggi Mee set at MYR 12.80+ (MYR 13.60 nett). My friend likes this dish very much.
这家ncle Don's真的很厉害的
I had the fish burger (Above) while JW had the lamb. They were stacked, humongous and messy – and I liked how homemade the patties tasted – none of that frozen, processed sht. Also topped with a generous amount of oozy cheese and slices of pineapple for a sweet/tangy kick. The fries were meh but edible.
The Char Koay Teow, not bad; "wok hei" was so so but expensive lor!
The Lamb stew was nice, cook to tender and well flavoured, goes well with rice. I like it.
The Teh Tarik here really quite good (really tarik/"pulled")!
Today's breakfast is the rm$9.50 排骨配雲吞叉燒雲吞麵 Pork Ribs Char Siew Wanton Mee by the popular 江記雲吞麵 Kong Kee Wanton Mee stall. Charsiew today wasn't their normal standard but the Pork Ribs was still not too bad, coupled with 2 pieces of medium size wanton
all tables are definitely at least 4-5 feet apart!
Will be back to try the other variants another time.
"Wake me Up" seems to offer a lot more food choice compared to "Augmented Cafe" (I think), but today I am just having a cuppa of Latte which is very nicely done by the owner/coffee barista.
Luckily for me, this cafe serves chicken and prawn hor fun in soup at MYR 9.80 nett. Decent enough except that the soup is rather oily.
Wake Me Up is a neighbourhood café that’s peaceful & simple that has a very family friendly vibe & home-made feel. There’s really nothing fancy or pretentious in their menu. It’s mainly set up to cater to the residents in the surrounding area since it’s located away from the main busy SS2 commercial…
A Japanese fine dining restaurant, with quality food, reasonable portion and not too expensive. All the food are nice and satisfying, can't really pin point a particularly dish. Plenty of side..

Taste:9/10(Delicious. I like their ering mushroom with butter sauce which is delicious. The mushroom cooked with delicious butter sauce with slight saltiness and cheesy taste. Then it was topped with shiso leaves which complements the mushroom flavour. Their Iberico pork hamburger were good as well. The meat was tender and juicy). Price:3/10(Expensive. They have house wine pour of MYR25.00 per glass. I ordered Iberico pork hamburger at MYR36.00 and pan fried ering mushroom with butter sauce at MYR23.00).
We also ordered their Dark Chocolate Cheese Cake with a LEGO chocolate dude on top. I did enjoy the malty chocolate cake – it tasted like it was made with Ovaltine, which is a nostalgia tinged memory for me. This was the only thing I enjoyed. I recommend you go for the cakes and drinks if you want to meet the minimum RM 30 per table spending
Specialising in Asian fusion cuisine, some of the top dishes served here are the Foie Gras Heaven (sushi topped with foie gras) and the Deep Sea Konbu Pasta (Pasta-Italian, Konbu Japanese).
Overall, Nippori Bistro serve great food and the environment is comfortable.
那么多东西吃,任拿任吃,一人只需RM32.80+真的超抵食的啦!
Food was good and acceptable. Will likely return to try something else.
If you can not think of what to eat, came to [798 wooden pork rice] absolutely can solve your troubles!
Siew Yuk Aglio Olio DEC 8 Address: AG-6 Ground Floor Block A Happy Mansion, Jalan 17/13, Section 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Operating Hours: Daily 11.30am - 8.30pm Verdict: 7/10 Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 Service: 7/10 Environment: 8/10
Also ordered a side of roast pork belly (RM18) to share. This was divine – nice balance of fat and lean, and the skin was extremely crispy. Loved the mustard dip it came served with.
Kam Heong Chicken Rice, 11.20 ringgit. Kam Heong Chicken Rice seemed to be a favorite because several tables ordered it. I can understand why – it sure was delicious. Do note that there were plenty of lemongrass bits in there – if you are not a fan, perhaps requesting for a toned down version would help. The Kam Heong dish is not your usual one, the one served here is more wetter? Curry-ish? and add in those lemongrass – it was different. No less yummy though. Plenty of meaty chicken meat. Perfect for a tummy filling meal
Jaads Sandwich in PJ's Phileo Damansara is one of the long standing Cafe here, and with more than 10+ years history offering Western and Local cooking.
Was generally satisfied with the last 3 visits; whether it wast he Jaads Big Omelette, Scrambled Egg Salmon Sandwich with charcoal bread set wit Salad, and Al Pesto Fish Spaghetti; all not bad choices for lunch.
I imagined the Omelette a little different from what was served, not disappointed nor surprised but a filling one.
Overall a happy meal.
Verdict: Food here certainly exceed expectations for the price paid. If you’re looking for decent Japanese meal without burning a hole in your pocket, Stacks definitely your ideal option! I wish they can open an outlet nearer to me…… (^.^)/
Old Town White Coffee at PJ Jaya One can be prominently noticeable from Jalan University. For breakfast, it is advisable to park across the street along Jalan 17/1A in front of the low cost flats.
Sound’s as good as it taste! Definitely approve this and the inside of the pie isn’t chunks of apple or banana, instead its in a puree form which was different yet works well for this dish.
The items sampled today are the restaurants current best seller Appetizers. All of which creative creations and each paired with unique Asian fusion sauce or marination.
Roast Sanchoku Wagyu This is sinfully delicious and the premium wagyu beef is pan fried till perfection. The meat comes simply good which is moist and juicy. It is cooked with the black garlic, green sauce and salsify. Sides with half mushroom topped with the chopped spring onions.
Spicy Mayo Salmon Rice Burger @ RM14.90 I personally prefer the Spicy Mayo Salmon because of its tangy flavours with hints of spiciness in every bite on the palate. But be careful, as this can be a little messy when you eat :P Look at the generous amount of chunky salmon drenched in sweet and sour sauce - I love it!
Wait! Don't forget to try out their Sushi burger too Oh accompaniment with their signature boba milk tea and winter melon rocksalt cheese.
If you are looking for new and unique Japanese food at Central i-City, please visit I Say Yatta Central i-City. We enjoyed their food and drinks and their price is reasonable especially for rice burger lovers.
Nasi Lemak with deep fried mackerel at MYR 12.20+ (6% SST, MYR 12.95 nett) with a free drink. The fish is salty but still acceptable and tasty.
Kopi Time Brand of Cafes were among the first pioneers, setting up its first humble outlet in Atria, bringing the Malaysian community together in one place to enjoy true Malaysian street food. Kopi
Just when you thought there couldn’t be more Kopitiams, new ones are coming up every now and then. It could only mean one thing, yum cha is Malaysians’ favorite past time, and Kopitiam business is still a growing business in Malaysia. Some of my friends like to yum cha a lot, and they go Kopitiam …
