Good service despite the crowd, less waiting time as they have more space. Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng (RM 12.30) is satisfying with big portion, like it better than Rendang.
The way that Malaysian standup comedian, Joanne Kam, lambasted the differences between Singapore style and Malaysia style nasi lemak motivated me to check out the most famous nasi lemak eatery when I was at Petaling Jaya (PJ) recently; Village Park Restaurant!
A good contrast in comparison to the sight and smell of the rendang daging and fried chicken.
The chicken flesh was too soft for my liking, like it has been cooked for too long. The soy sauce tasted all right.
Tender & juicy chicken served with their homemade sauce. Yum!! I loved it. For me, their chilli sauce will drive you crazy guys, YUM!! Hainanese Chicken Rice @ RM 8
In summary, I was definitely impressed with all the dishes here except for the Roasted Chicken which was not bad either, but it just didn't impress me enough. The price is slightly on the high side and that must be due to the high rental in this area. Otherwise, it is definitely a place that I would return again.
[Muslim-friendly] Hey, it’s British fish and chips! We returned to Cor Blimey! for some authentic British fish and chips. Founded by Hampshire-bred Adam, Cor Blimey! uses only Halal ingredients and serves no alcohol or pork. Max opted for the Alaskan Pollock (RM32.90) – which comprises two huge chu…
All in all, the numerous visits to Cor Blimey have been a wonderful one so far. Glad to learn that authentic British style Fish & Chips is much more accessible now instead of having to travel oversea to fix the craving. Thence, I look forward to many returns again to this quaint shop that no doubt captures each diner’s heart with its quality sumptuous feast.
Ultimate Sides Platter (MYR 29.90) The perfect combo for all the sides variety consisting of onion rings, mushrooms, broccoli cheese croquettes, cheddar cheese melts and crispy zucchini fries served with homemade sauces.
To be frank, I am not well versed in Japanese cuisine. My knowledge on Japanese food is almost zero. But when it comes to eating, I trust my taste buds more ...
Decided to try out Toripaitan Shoyu Egg @ RM 17.40 with thin noodle. Order their regular style too. Quite like their shoyu base, as it is clear, mild spicy and quite fragrant. Egg I wish it is more flavourful then it would be perfect. Chicken meat is soft and juicy.
Verdict: Overall the food was great and refreshing with friendly service.. There are other types of soup based available! Do try them all!
Overall, it was a perfect dinner for us. Good service and delicious food. The best thing about the restaurant is “NO SERVICE CHARGE & NO GST AT THE MOMENT” and the foods are priced reasonably. Second Visit? A BIG YES for me!!
