Looking for Pad Thai at Bedok Interchange, there’s a food stall called Kin Khao Yang that serves fantastic Thai food that’s not too expensive.
Both of them more more tame than I was expecting; they were slightly sweet, and were neither as earthy as I had hoped they would be. The chili kept things refreshing though, and I'm glad that I opted for the side of begedil too. But I'm not going to get cravings for this place.
This stall at Bedok Interchange (208B New Upper Changi Road #01-64) commanded a pretty long line at lunchtime today.
Get a taxi now, get to Lagoon Hawker on East Coast Service Road.
The guys went cycling at East Coast Park and we met for bak kut teh & pork knuckle at East Coast Lagoon Food Village hawker centre. I was quite blown away by Han Jia's braised pork knuckle (though it's obviously not for everyone).
The next item to try is their braised pork trotters ($6). The pork leg is served in a dark rich herbal sauce that you can smell even without digging in. The skin of the pork legs has a sticky and gelatinous skin holding all the chunks of meat together. Packed full of deep soy herbal flavour and collagen. Although the leg is stewed till a very dark shade of brown, it is neither really salty nor savoury. Instead it is the herbal flavour that is very prominent.
Chris Kway Chap, one of the popular Stalls to fix your craving.
I am with Chris Kway Chap's many fans - this kway chap is nice.
There are quite a few well-rated Kway Chap stalls around the island, and in Bedok, Chris is definitely the one I would recommend to try.

The famous Tai Wah Pork Noodle at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre has opened a second outlet in Bedok with cheaper selections. Read more.
Recommended by Miss Tam Chiak. There was a bit of queue at this stall in the morning. The char siew was sweet, crispy and charred, sliced thinly, but tough. The wanton was smooth with silky skin and well marinated meat filling. The dumplings had a nice variation in texture with the prawn, black fungus and water chestnuts. The noodles were qq and springy, lightly flavoured and fragrant from the chilli.
Overall, this plate of wanton noodles is a scrumptious delight that we will return for if we’re in the vicinity!
Overall, this is a good plate of hokkien prawn mee. I am glad that my trip to the far East was not wasted. I really enjoy the plate of wet and flavoursome hokkien prawn mee.
Chai Chee Pork Porridge 菜市猪肉粥, a specialty hawker stall tucked away within the bustling Bedok 85 Feng Shan Hawker Centre. If you're a fan of Hainanese porridge, then this is a spot you definitely don't want to miss!
Since its opening in 2002 as a humble 25-seater coffee shop at Defu Lane, Seafood Paradise has grown from strength to strength, gaining a loyal following amongst aficionados for its repertoire of lip-smacking,
Though there were some misses, they still serve up a pretty decent bowl of noodles at relatively affordable prices.
If you are in Bedok and craving a comforting tasty bowl of noodles, it will be satiated at Yong Hwa Delights.
The plate of Fried Black Carrot Cake is pretty decent with sweet-tasting black sauce and natural egg sweetness. The carrot cake is run of the mill type but good enough for a simple breakfast if you want to fill a portion of your stomach.
Very cheap carrot cake with prices starting at $2. Both the white and the black carrot cake were very crispy. The white had a good rice fragrance, while the black was really sweet and charred (at areas to a crisp), and tasted like the old school carrot cake I had when I was young, at the old Commonwealth Crescent Market.
The chicken skin was very crispy and almost crunchy like pork rind, and ungreasy. The chicken wing was also crispy outside, and fairly tender inside. The flavour was overall moderately salty, and somewhat one dimensional with tinge of spice layering.
Run by a 25-year-old female chef who previously worked in Three-Michelin-Starred Restaurant Zen, So Lemak serves nasi lemak and juicy prawn-paste chicken wings!
So, if you’re looking for a delicious plate of satay bee hoon, head over to Shi Wei Da 食为大. I know I will be back!
Wei Jia Ban Mian Fish Soup is located inside the same coffee shop as Wan Jia Xiao Guan Zi at Blk 443 Clementi Ave 3 behind Clementi Mall. In case you are wondering, no, the two stalls are unrelated.
Having not tasted any rendition of Mee Tai Mak like the one I had at Omage Foods, I will be back to get my fill again! Just note that they close just after lunchtime so be sure to head down early.
Having the Mee goreng here at Suka Ramai Mama Power. I was intrigued when they claimed that they have the best mee goreng in Singapore on their Facebook. This kind of mee goreng combo is kind of similar to Adam's delight. The nearest MRT station is at Telok Blangah mrt station.
Bedok has tons of good food, but we would specially make a return visit just for Swatow’s laksa.

I really liked the old-school noodles with ketchup and chilli. The noodles had good bite, was totally unclumpy, tasty, sweet, spicy and lardy. The her kiao was springy and tasty, and the handmade fishballs were soft and springy with a subtle fish flavour.
For comforting bowls of lor mee, head over to Tampines for Old Airport Road Zheng Zong Lor Mee. They also have prawn noodles!
