Fresh and healthy, and delicious.
Quite expensive, tasty.
Food generally taste good, business is brisk, and price slightly high. Service is acceptable despite the crowd. Sauna mee is okay, but generally I am not a big fan of this dish. Braised pork rice..
Satoyama Chicken Rice, 11.90 ringgit. The Chicken Rice was a lil different to me. The chicken meat itself did not come in the usual kechup-py gravy. The gravy had less kechup but more vinegar? ginger? I do not know what it was but it certainly gave the chicken rice an extra ‘kick’. It totally works when you add in the rice and all. It was different but in an appealing kind of way. The chicken came in a generous portion and came with butter rice, chilli sauce and vegetable. Yummy.
Interestingly the "凯撒薄卷 Ceaser Wrap" is reported as 689 kcal, and all of the items in the menu comes with caloric counts! with a somewhat positive experience at least on the Ceaser Wrap, looking forward to try out its other offering in their menu!
While doing my nasi lemak eating rounds, I came to know about the nasi lemak wrap by Goodness Greens TTDI. I was intrigued and had wanted to try it ASAP but I got distracted by work and trips. Well, last week I finally sank my teeth into one and boy, the wrap was delicious! On the plus side, it was filling (it was 2 meals for me!) for the price and healthy too. Just remember to go easy on the sambal since that’s where most of the oil comes from.
Big Breakfast @ RM 26 – Two eggs used are kampung eggs (sunny side up/ scramble/ soft boiled) Grilled chicken sausage, grilled tofu, roasted baby potatoes, sauteed trio myshrooms, (shiitake, white buttons, eryngii) with high fibre bread butter served with mini salad. Both of these are just simple and great to pair with their juices.
Reasons to visit The Good Co APW: Superfood experiences in-house at trendy APW, also conveniently available for takeaway and home delivery; a 100% vegetarian menu with loads of vegan options too.
During our last visit there I ordered a cup of Healthy Organic Nasi Lemak at MYR 15.90 nett. Can you see the layers? From the bottom to top - millet (acting as rice), roasted peanuts, tempeh, cherry tomatoes, slices of cucumber (kyuri), hard boiled egg, assorted salad leaves and a small container of healthy sambal that tastes like sweetish peanut sauce (those satay dips).
Suddenly I thought that I would try their yogurt so I ordered this Soul Jar at MYR 14.90 nett. Oats can be seen from the top. Luckily the yogurt is sourish so it is appetising and I managed to finish the whole jar without feeling satiated.

Premium Chai Latte (RM14) This almond milk chai latte has got to be THE BEST CHAI LATTE in KL, and that's a bold claim. Unlike the usual almond milk you get in the market, their almond milk is thick and creamy and doesn't get separated or sedimented if left for a while. They retain their thick and creamy texture throughout the serving and I was really impressed. As for the chai, there was no other way to describe it other than being utterly flavourful. And it is not for no reasons as they were incredibly generous with their spices, and the perfect blend of different spices created an impeccable aroma that puts all other chai lattes to shame! If there's one thing you must try from this cafe, make it this one!
The Bangkok Salad (RM22) was also big in flavour and texture. The salad is made up of romaine lettuce, grilled cherry tomatoes, steamed broccoli, carrots, roasted pumpkin and fried shallots, topped with tender, moist sous vide chicken and a Thai coconut red curry on the side. The curry dressing was extremely moreish, making this one tasty salad!
Reasons to visit: Healthy and delicious brunch and cafe foods with plenty of variety for every one of your friends. Don’t miss the Melbourne-style lattes, which include turmeric and black sesame, and the housemade prana chai.
炸薯条吃多了, 炸番薯条还是第一次呢!
Beetroot Latte is simply delicious. Creamy Beetroot goes perfectly well with the rose and rose adds a delicate floral flavour to the latte, YUM!! Beetroot Latte @ 13

This year they are preparing homey Chinese new year menu to warm up your tummy for a great casual conversation. AS my previous mention of my blog post, if you are willing to dig slightly deeper into your pockets for a great bowl of soup indeed a great place to be as they are using premium ingredients to prepare.
Perhaps there's nothing grand about soup, steamed chicken, noodles and rice. But on days when the palate yearns for comfort, we turn to them. Thanks to a wonderful invitation recently, I was at Alison Soup House at TTDI Taman Tun Dr Ismail to sample and review their latest Chinese New Year Set Menu for the coming festive season.
I'd say the vegetarian item sampled today "照烧豆腐荞麦面 Grilled Terriyaki Tofu Soba" was acceptable in taste and presentation, the bowl comes with Soba with terriyaki tofu and an onsen egg plus flavored/seasoned cauliflower, pumpkin and carrots and I believe seaweed as well. Generally, a likable dish!
La Juiceria's menu is quite extensive, with vegetarian, meat, locals like nasi lemak, even cakes, coffee and of course their healthy drinks; also all-day breakfast as the restaurant opens early at 9am.
Hhmmm, too much white cream and too little cake so it disappeared very quickly into my tummy. Then green pandan layer is not jelly-like but the cake is light so after eating it, I felt like I haven't eaten any cake.
Hot tofufa with ginkgo, red beans and yam at MYR 10.80 nett. Very tasty, the tofufa is silkily smooth. This is my favourite dessert in this eatery.
For just RM10, you get to try out their 62 °C Hainan Breakfast. It is like the telur goyang we always have in kopitiam or mamak stall, but Cafe 55 presents it with modern twist. Double poached egg, placed on top of toasted bread sandwiched with homemade kaya and butter. Finished with shoyu dressing and scallion.
Croque Monsieur, 20 ringgit. The Croque Monsieur is their popular dish and came recommended. It consisted of bread, turkey ham, cheddar cheese, mornay (cheese sauce?). This was delicious. Do make sure you have an empty stomach though because this sure is filling. I was halfway through and already felt stuffed. So, be warned. The melted cheese on the top – I am soooo a fan. Just biting into that layer of cheese + bread + turkey ham … yummmm!

Reasons to visit: gluten-free, dairy-free ice cream (and cones!); delicious flavours; our favourites were the dark chocolate, strawberry and lemon lime; Malaysia’s first vegan, all-natural ice cream bar.
Overall, wasn't too bad but could be better if delivered with extra sauce!
The Cafe interior includes 3 separate air-conditioning dining sections with different theme decos as well as limited outdoor seating plus a children playground!
Food was good, I liked it. The combination I picked for my Petit bowl was awesome. The brown rice was soft and dense. The butter masala acted as a gravy, it was thick and flavorful. The onsen egg was a perfect addition to this dish. While the outer part resembled a poached egg, it was the yolk that made a difference.
Reasons to visit Element Fresh Pavilion KL: smug feeling of healthy eating; delicious and plentiful options; great variety for all dietary needs; did I mention the HUGE portions?; relaxed and soothing setting.
Seafood Trio, our personal recommendation. A hearty portion of pasta, with mussels, salmon and shrimp sauteed in garlic and olive oil with white wine, further tossed in fennel, white mushroom, tomato and a touch of chili flake and Italian pasrsley to enhance to overall flavours. Do check out their Portobello Mushroom & Red Pepper Sauce, Italian Penne Pasta with Beef Ragu, and King Prawn Pasta too.
Overall Rating: 8/10. If not for it's upmarket price, I'd give it a higher rating, and would still recommend Element Fresh as a go-to restaurant for a fresh, healthy, non-regrettable feast. My personal favorites would be the Warm Fresh Juice, Hawaiian Tuna Poke Salad, Element Fresh Classic Cobb Salad, Portobello Mushroom and Red Pepper Sauce, and Homemade Rice Pudding.

Their bowls are made with PurpleBlend™ Acai base and all natural and organic ingredients. They even shared their acai bowl recipe: 60% Pure Acai Base + 20% Purple Superfoods + 10% Creamy Base + 10% Liquid Base. I may just try making my own bowl someday with the puree!
Açaí Lab has a short but enticing menu of five items. An important fact to note about Açaí Lab is that they are the only place in Malaysia that uses blended frozen açaí berries, and not the powdered form which is available in other health food places here.
