At the end of the day, the most important thing is the kids loved this place and the time we spent as family. The Museum of Illusions Kuala Lumpur is also ideal for couples as well as friends. Time to check out The Museum of Illusions Kuala Lumpur at Ansa Hotel.
My kids loved the Vortex Tunnel and kept going in and out for more than 10 times, whereas their mother backed off after 3 steps – the tunnel made my head spin and I lost my balance! But I loved the kaleidoscope: the photo will make an excellent social media profile picture!

The iconic KL Petronas Twin Towers is definitely a must visit site whenever you visit Kuala Lumpur and although we’ve been here countless times, but we had never actually gone up to visit the skybridge. It's something we’ve always wanted to do, so finally, here we are today and we’ll be bringing you guys up for a tour with us to the Sky Tower bridge and the Observation deck.
Petronas Twin Towers is an icon and distinctive landmark of Malaysia, also made the country more recognized on a world scale. Standing at the foot of the Towers and looking up, Petronas Twin Tower reach to a dizzying height of 452 metres above the skyline, the most spectacular architectural in Malaysia. To make it more interactive, there are fun quizzes that you can take. Try your hand at trading stocks, or managing the economy using interest rates. (Failed at both and caused the economies to crash. Welp.) There is also a section where you can spin blocks and compare how inflation has caused prices of goods to increase over the years.
There’s something very powerful and moving about being in places where history was written – you get a sense of being separated only by time, and not by space. Dataran Merdeka, or Merdeka Square, is one such place. It was where Malaya declared its independence from British colonists, where the Union Jack flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag hoisted in its place, and where our forefathers basically laid the foundations of our country.
With all of these tourist destinations in one place, it’s worth making the small walk round the corner from Masjid Jamek LRT – but bring water and a hat, as there is very little shade.
Exhibition gallery with a pretty famous bakery.
Date: 22 October 2014. I had been wanting to bring our Boys to this Kuala Lumpur City Gallery since a few months ago, however, due to Hubby's busy working ...
參觀了一趟馬來西亞國家博物館,彷彿複習了以前我們上過的歷史課,好多以前聽聞過的歷史故事都呈現在眼前!
Muzium Ethnologi Dunia Melayu (Musuem of Malay World Ethnology) is dedicated to Malay culture and history, where visitors can learn about traditional games, clothing, accessories, arts and crafts and weaponry, among others. While not very large, visitors will find a good collection of exhibits on display, with detailed descriptions.
That said, I must note that perhaps the original Telibong version is much better, and maybe I will get to find out in future. However, on the basis of KL’s I will struggle to persuade my wife to come along!
Entry to Petrosains is RM18.50 for Malaysians and RM28 for non-Malaysians.
Most of the items on display at the Museum are masks and carvings from the Mah Meri and Jah Hut tribes. The Mah Meri of Selangor are among the most well known Orang Asli tribes. They live close to the coast and make a living as fishermen, although in recent years, tourism has also become an important source of livelihood. They are extremely skilled at woodcarving, hence the masks which are used in rituals and ancestor worship.
There are also woven pieces, agricultural tools, clothes made from bark, weapons, and musical instruments. The museum is all too small, as it is interesting but won’t take much longer than 45 minutes to look round. I definitely recommend considering it as part of an extension to the National Museum rather than making a separate visit. Think of it as 3 museums for RM10 when added to the Ethnology of the Malay World Museum, and in that spirit it’s worth the entry fee and the journey.
Entrance fee: RM6 (adults), RM3 (children)
This crane seems to be the favourite of most kids, with a queue quickly forming next to it.
Like nearly all the museums on site, you would feel a little bit aggrieved if you had travelled a long way just for this one, but as a package it is definitely worthwhile.
进来绕一圈,除了学到马来西亚华人生活外,还能得到玩迷宫所带来的乐趣!
I am really excited to share with you guys about this new attraction at Petaling Street. It has been a famous tourist since its launch and opens too. I visit this attraction last two weekends, it definitely opens up my eyes during my visit. For those who love to take photos and post on social media, you will definitely enjoy yourself here. Not only you are able to explore and learn more about Chinatown from other countries. You can meet Bruce Lee too during your visit! After exploring historical of Malaysia and China Town, you may experience their unique designed maze in the dark. With figures of famous celebrities flaunting you along the way, this attraction will provide wonderful opportunities for a photo op, or simply a selfie.
说实话, 这里很多模型都有种年久失修的感觉, 甚至有些已经布满了灰尘, 让我有种小小的失望~
