Likes: Fresh broth, lots of great varieties for steam boat (sliced pork, beef, meat balls of all kinds, plenty of vegetable selections). The most important that they aced is the freshness of the food - I believe it's due to the high turnover rate so food is actually very fresh here. Dislikes: The slack side is they have great sauces but not available every time. When they are busy they won't prepare fried garlic for customers (what kind of logic is that...). And the be honest their service is not the best despite charging high prices for their food. They tend to hurry you to finish up your food because there are customers waiting. I couldn't be bothered because they should plan their reservations well and not shoo-ing your customers off... Your customers are entitled to enjoy their food, as this is not a mamak stall... It's a love hate thing for this place - I love it but their service makes me think twice.

You can tell that we were happy with the food. That’s because it was really a pleasant experience. In fact, this was one of the best steamboat meals we have had so far and I can’t really believe it’s at Bangsar.

There are a few recommendations by my friend that I should visit Hong Kong Hot Pot (香港热锅) a try, where their ingredients are made fresh along with their amazing soup. I have to agree with most of my friends after paying them a visit.

We ordered some snacks to go with the milk tea based drinks. The soup was filled with crunchy cloud ear fungus (julienned) and soft glass noodles so it was quite tasty

My Personal Opinion If this is as close as the real thing in Hong Kong (maybe less 'dirty' ^_*), then I don't understand why people like cart noodles. The reviews on this place are rather mixed and on opposite ends, you either like it or you don't. I guess I'm the latter. The broth was too robustly flavoured for my palate (especially with the added sauce), too oily and too overpowering with the taste of garlic. Maybe I just don't like Hong Kong-style food all that much, just like in Starz Kitchen, and now here. Maybe I ordered the wrong noodle combination but I don't think I'd be trying any more noodle combinations.

I accompany my friends who wanted to eat lunch at Kim Gary, Midvalley Mall. I ordered a set lunch of beef steak pasta with black pepper sauce at MYR 14.90+ (10% service tax = MYR 16.40 nett) which included soup and drink. I kept half of the pasta for dinner but ate all the steak as the beef steak is just two thin slices of beef marinated in black pepper sauce. I left most of the sauce uneaten.

This is sinfully delicious and I am just love how it is done.

The last place on EARTH I would want to dine at. I haven't visited in ages and I couldn't remember why I stopped visiting. Their menu was and still is confusing AF, makes you order "free drinks" which confuses the crap out of you and charge you for drinks simply because you missed out the "free drinks"section and highlighted the one that charges extra couple of dollars. ....and they continue to forget to deliver what that was supposed to come with the confusing AF set until you remind them. Why do we want to complicate our lives with such stupid menu at this stupid place just to save a couple of bucks. Seriously, now it reminds me why I never gone back to Kim Gary after so many years. I thought they had already improved but NO it's still stupid as ever.
