As for future visits, I am not too sure if I will be back. The ambiance does not beckon but I am sure there are others who may find this place (and the food) pleasing.
Oh yes, the food is still very good at Hotpot1 @ The Starling. I revisited not too long ago and I had to have one of my favorites, the Chaipu Chicken. Because I was very hungry, I added a side dish of yam cake. I thought the yam cake was superb! And so was the Chaipu Chicken.
The fried rice came in a huge portion. Even by my standards. There was some measure of wok hei, but not as intense as I would have liked. There were loads of ingredients inside - chicken fillet, fish cake, egg, carrots and crabstick. It was good and this portion can be comfortably shared by two.
For my main meal I opted for the Mixed Vegetable Curry and I put in an order for the Fresh Fried Seafish. I was charged RM10.00 for the fish and total paid for my lunch was RM23.00. The fish was fresh and fried till crispy. I loved the chili dip that came with it - it was a blend of chilies, onions and lime juice (with some sugar). I could also detect a hint of bunga kantan. It was so refreshing and appetizing.
