There is no doubt, Cameron Highlands Resort is the best hotel in Cameron Highlands! Charmy colonial look, perfect service, lovely room, amazing spa, and decent food are just a few things that can only confirm my bold statement. The most remarkable is the service itself. To point out, the staff is super nice and always ready to chat with you. For this reason, staying there will give you that homely feeling instantly.

The Cameron Highlands Resort is steeped in history and fully embraces the feel of the Cameron Highlands. Built as an extension from a 1930’s cottage, the resort has a very unique colonial feel, with some of the architecture dating all the way back to 1070!

Generally, we quite liked the Smokehouse. The service was good, and the food was decent. The ambience was good enough that wife suggested we might stay at the hotel next time we visit Cameron Highlands.

♥Verdict: In nutshell, it is a beautiful place but the room rate was simply overpriced considering the facilities offered as well as the cleanliness level of the room. We paid RM500 for our stay (without breakfast) and the satisfaction level was underwheming. There’s definitely room of improvement in terms of room maintenance and level of comfortability.

Going indoors, here we have the lovely TV room area, which reminds me a lot of the interior of british India. The place has been refurbished but the original Tudor concept is still being preserved so much so that old girls of the school have returned to pleasantly find they could recognize the music room, the dining room… Bala’s Holiday Chalet has 30 cottage style rooms offering good value for money to travelers. The peace and tranquility combined with the natural surrounding makes it a spot that is just the thing you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Away from the noise and away from work!

Overall, I would still recommend this hotel as they are fairly new plus most parts of the hotel are well maintained and the service staff are all polite, helpful and friendly.

Gerard's Place is in apartment style that equipped with basic amenities. Water heater, fan, free wifi, TV, refrigerator and kettle. They also provide bread and jam for our breakfast. To ease us, they even put the mineral water bottle at the table top. We just paid the money to the box provided if we need it. So that we do not need to drive all the way down to the convenient shop to buy the water.
